nicks3
Does anyone hbave any recommendations for upgrading to 19" wheels on the E90 335d MSport? I am think of doing this and wonder how they would efefct grip (more or less) and what tyres/wheels are recommended. Would normal 19" tyres be better than the standard 18" runflats? gizze
If you go for a 19" you will generally get them .5" to 1" wider so grip should be slightly improved in everything but snow! The ride is alot softer and handling is improved tenfold with 19 non runflats over 18" runflats.
nicks3
In what way is the handling improved? What is it like in the wet with the 19's. Also what 19" tyres are recommended?
gizze
The fact you can take corners at a much higher speed without the back end skipping out for a start. I think the run flats are almost at the point of being dangerous on anything but the smoothest of surfaces, so great on a track or German autobahns but a mare on 90% of UK roads. nicks3
Looking at the AC Schnitzer website their 19" option has 255/30/19 tyres. The width is the same as my standard 18" wheels so what is it that makes the 19" better handling, the fact that they are not runflats?

nicks3
Ok getting prices for these then. I am being offered 8.5 x 19's all round or I can have 9.5 x 19's on the back. Anyone got any recommendations and also what size tyre to go for, bigger than standard or not. I may lower with schnitzer springs and dont want rubbing issues. Anyone got a picture of an E90 msport with 19's on and lowered?

flux
I'd be tempted to go with the same set-up at the OEM 19's on the coupe - are these 8.5 all round, or wider at the back?
