aldo286
dave i am in the middle of retrofitting heated seats and i am concerned about this green multiplug i cant see it on my seats i am having big probs getting the climate wired up properly , i didnt know kufatec done the looms i sent mine into the bloddy auto sparks still no joy cheers aldo286
Davef
Hi Aldo - If you look under the seat with it fully back there is a black cover over a set of connector blocks on the floor of the car. Under this is a yellow connector which is for the air bag, a brown/red connecter for power to the electric seat and a space where there would be a green connector for the seat heating if factory fitted. The kufatec harness comes with the factory green connectors which fit into the original place. The wiring from the seat heating then plugs into this. The climate is a straight replacement part, there is an additional connector block behind it (block F I think) which the kufatec loom plugs into with further connections to power, earth and 2 leads into the C connector which I think is below the relay plate? I certainly wouldnt want to try this without the kufatec loom! PS where did you get your TDI chipped?

TDiAvant
Well I received the Audi/Recaro heated elements this week, I took one look at then, and figured that it would be far better if they were pro fitted. I've dropped the car of with these people today www.kishexecutivecars.co.uk some of the work they have done is amazing
techieboy
I think that might have been a wise choice TDi Brings me out in a cold sweat just thinking about peeling off the leather seat coverings and hoping they go back on again.
TDiAvant
I'm sure I could have stripped the seat down, and built it back up, but I don't think it would ever look the same again.

Davef
How are you going about the wiring for the seats? Are you planning to use the kufatec adapter because they are very slow to actually deliver. Have you replaced the wiring loom in the seats? TDiAvant
I'm waiting for the Kufatec harness, I've been told it will be delivered this week... I've making a harness that will connect the two plugs to the floor socket. I will start to make that at the weekend as I know where the plug goes into the floor.
