winrya
[ QUOTE ] Lovely GTI Ryan, black, 18's, fine choice. I think you may work with a friend of mine, drives a Maroon old shape SLK, has the roof down in winter and generally looks amusing pottering around in what I would describe as being a middle aged house wifes car. Hes mentioned before that someone he worked with had a GTI, but anytime I've been to your store I've not seen it about. Give me a flash if you spot me in my Lupo GTI, I'm often around Telford and Shrewsbury. [/ QUOTE ] Yep thats me. Funnily enough the mrs is looking at a lupo gti as a potential next car. What do you think of it?? Regards the SLK, he gets some stick, everyone refers to it as pink, and yes we take the p*ss when he see's a dry evening and puts the roof down (happens all the time, even this time of year). I'll certainly give you a flash should i see you
PND
The same thing happened to me today at Sainsburys (Greengates/Bradford).. I parked down the left end of the car park to avoid all the heavy-handed door openers - got back with a full trolley to find a like-minded GTI owner had joined me! Mine's the one on the right.. the other was an '05' I think..

ekin_88
[ QUOTE ] I like your parking, I would also have edged slightly onto the red-brick to get those extra last inches away from the bay next to me ... [/ QUOTE ] Well you can hide and you can park up leaving loads off space between the car next to you, but someone always parks next to you in a chav car " not the gti in the pic " and the extra space is always an invitation for the brain dead dumb to open the door wider and hit your car. you need to employ a body Guard patrolling and watching your car while its in the works carpark or when you do shopping or on nights out,

[/ QUOTE ] Hi Tarmac_Terrorist Paul_D Snoopy thank you for the replys, so with the DBP is not available the next closest colour is Shadow Blue, looks very nice, another question, does that blue look a different shade if you was looking at it in different light or angle ? #also is it easy to keep clean ? Stupid questions I know but I was curios to find out, Thank you
Snoopy
Yes it looks totally different in different lights, can look black from a distance on real dull days, but sparkles in the sun. Much easier to keep clean than black but not as easy as silver. Think as shadow blue as more a royal blue. heres a few (non of them mine) in different lights. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/flogitg/IMG_7969.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/flogitg/shadowblue3door.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/flogitg/shadowblue484387-shadow_blue_golf_g.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/flogitg/shadowblue5door1.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b361/flogitg/blue-gti_6.jpg Its alot darker blue than laser blue or deep blue pearl. PND
Shadow Blue is easy to keep clean as it doesn't really show the muck much! Great when the light catches it - hope the photo shows it (even though the car needs a clean at the moment).. Makes a change from all my mates who've got black and silver cars at the moment. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry if this affends anyone, I do not mean any disrespect but just personal expression.. I think personally Silver does not do the car any justice but I know other have brought the car in Silver, it looks very good but not my cuppa team. sorry if i tread on some toes, but please dont flame me, just a point off view, as you know everyone is different, Quick must make a quick exist before I get not a qucik as a gti but quicker than walking...
