Botang
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] God I hate SPECS and this f*ckwitted government. How about doing something to prevent HGVs travelling from the Midlands to the coast from overtaking each other ? Then the 2 lane 55mph road becomes one with moving traffic. How many pedestrian deaths on the A14 ? None I'll bet, because it largely crosses open countryside and hardly any residential areas. Whats the bloody point of Specs on this road ? How about some Specs where people live, where it will make a difference to peoples lives, not just government coffers ? Arsebags. (rant over) [/ QUOTE ] http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/projects/14233.aspx This could be interesting [/ QUOTE ] They have installed the signs for that as I spotted them this afternoon, they are covered over at the moment. My immediate concern is that the section takes in a layby which will cause problems for the lorries re-entering the road.
sitas3
[ QUOTE ] bstd government - from where to where? [/ QUOTE ] I've been though there a bit lately but only after joining the M3 from the M25 going southbound. They start on the slip road from the M25 and the last specs pole is about 1/2 a mile ish down the M3 IIRC so they will probably also be on the M3 itself before it meets the M25. There is an announcement somewhere about it - I'll try and find it again.

M3/M25 Link information: http://www.highways.gov.uk/news/14533.aspx [/ QUOTE ] OK thanks - so it is M3 southbound after the M25, rather than on the M25 at all.
