AudiPartner
The GF has a Scorpion alarm fitted to her MX5 and it seems that the battery is dieing on the remote. Can we just change it or will it lose its coding when we disconnect the old battery?
petsy
I suggest you find out the exact type of remote on the scorpion website then email, write a letter or ring Tony Heys Scorpion Automotive Drumhead Road Chorley North Business Park Chorley PR6 7BZ TEL 01257 249928 FAX 01257 249938 [email protected] my wife had a scorpion alarm and with her model remote Tony emailed me saying "Take the battery out of the remote control, stand next to the car and put the battery back in the remote, press the large button twice and the remote will start operating". that advice may or may not apply to your particular remote model. hth
AudiPartner
Ah, spoke to Scorpion today and was told (without even saying what remote we have) to change the battery whilst either in or next to the car and then press and hold both buttons for 15 seconds! Great.
