Markpaq
Hopefully the TSN collective can help me out here. I'm looking at getting another car for the mrs and the one I've got my eye on is currently advertised as being SORN'd. Am I allowed to take it for a test drive? Does my own insurance cover it or will it have to be taxed by the present keeper before it's even allowed on a road? If that's the case then it kinda makes it unsaleable. TIA. Mook
No. The vehicle is not licensed to be used on the road. Unless the car is on trade plates, if you're stopped, you can be prosecuted for using an unlicensed car. You'll also not be insured, so it's generally a no-no. Chrisg
so is it really cheap though ? Otherwise it's surely unlikely to get sold ??

Mook
They're bloody good cars and do about 60 mpg The only reason we didn't get one for Mrs Mook is because they've only got two seatbelts in the back
