steve2
as per title the disc on the front has seperated from the hub? I found this out when i took the wheel off to check the suspension bushes and found the disc floating. now i know it is all held in place by the wheel bolts but i always thought they were a single item. there is a hole in the disc for a retaining screw but no hole in the hub, is this normal because i cannot remember this happening on previous discs
Mook
There should be a retaining screw holding the disk in place. When you take the wheel off, you should be able to rotate the disk until you see the hole it is supposed to line up with. Nothing to worry about - the wheel bolts will hold it in place

Mook
Replacement disks? If so, then were they fitted by an Audi dealer? Can't remember how old your car is.
Avus_Bub
The front discs on my car have a screw. The rears don't have a screw. The disc is drilled/countersunk but the hub isn't........ It's not like they're going to fall off when the calipers are there! BUB
