gizze Posted July 27, 2007 Report Share Posted July 27, 2007 The new Samsung backlit LCDs are only a few weeks away, and will be worth waiting for. Pioneer plasma is excellent too, perfect colours, blacks that beat CRT, and a very very smooth image. 1080p version available shortly, but you need to be 8ft from a 50" to see the extra resolution, at 10ft you can't tell if a screen is 720 or 1080. sufu Posted July 27, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 27, 2007 That's why I'm looking for something larger than 32", I'll be using it as a computer screen too so it needs the definition. I'm using a 24" 1920x1200 screen at the moment, which is great until you're more than 5 about 5 feet away, so I can't use it as the main screen for home cinema and internet browsing ect.
