Simonl
Who chipped it and how much, that's a huge gain. What were you pushing as standard!?! good stuff though.
jsheldon
Done mine, which is a 2005 Convert Diesel. It has a DMS reprogramme, but was told 265 is about max for that engine. Is your car an E46. I think mine has gone off the boil a little, doesn't seem as punchy, it may be just me, but wondering what can take the edge of performance? Someone has said get the oxygen sensors checked/reset.
330dcoupe
I've got 90k Miles on a 05 plate and it was 212bhp standard, got it chipped and if you add on an extra 30bhp for the engine opening up it takes it to approx 290bhp as a rolling Road has confirmed! Jesus is it Quick!!
activa
Not surprised with the torque it must be generating. That is one mighty impressive figure, look out M3 drivers!

deanobeano
I had a E46 M3 a couple of years ago - Brand new with less than 1400 miles on her (and still running in) A 330d left me for dead...I was in the wrong gear and he just flew past me - all that bottom end torque is great. (mind you, the oil burner doesn't sound as good as the M3 at 5k+ revs!) I still miss that sound.
330dcoupe
A M3 can have a 50 metre lead but it cannot shake me off even a Chipped 2007 535d Cannot catch me after a Ton!! I get normally average 25 mpg around town using the Torque to change gears, but on Motor Ways I usually get 35mpg driving normally 80-90mph
uberdenz
Bought my 330cd m sport in august 08. 2 days after bought it, air con light wouldn't come on. 2 days later and drive belt snapped. - bottom pulley wheel gone (rubber centre!?!) £245parts £200 labour. September 08 and blew turbo - £800 parts (essex turbo recon)and £450 labour. When got it back seemed to puff out smoke on hard throttle. found a different bmw 'specialist'. Glow Plugs (which stay on all the time) replaced. Still doing it, so turbo breather hose replaced, whilst inlet manifold off discovered flap in manifold broken. new manifold £315. labour £200. Garage assured me smokin gone and smoother pull. got it chipped and now it is the car i wanted. ;o) you feel it most from 60-140+ faster than most things. just hope it lasts cos will need to buy the kids some shoes...
