Help required please

Hi guys. I need to do some research on the net to find a venue to handle probably 400+ people for the (don't know if it's the right word to use) reception, after my daughter is cremated. This venue needs to be around Stockport/South Manchester-probably as near as possible to the M60/M56 motorway network. If anyone on here can offer some suggestions of places which can handle such numbers I would be eternally grateful.

Stockport Town Hall should fit the bill mate.

Been to plenty of weddings there and the location is just off the M60.

NO problem. It is a good venue. You can make it as austere, or jovial as you want.

My condolences for the requirement though.

Us Southerners would call it a Wake or if it's a party (deep South American style)- I've been to wake parties.

A positive to a sombre day is that although all wiil /should respect the situation, it should also be a celebration of her life .

I want to go with an evangelistic choir followed by everyone having an enjoyable time, celebrating the good times.
