High Mileage 2.0TDi

Thinking about buying a 2.0TDi engined Touran with 89K miles on it. How strong are these engines? It's got a 6 speed manual, any problems with these also?

Anything else I need to look out for on one of these buses?

Being a VW I don't think it will have any issues at that mileage, as long as it has been serviced regularly

That engine will easily see the other side of 250K miles, so no problem there. Like Mouse says, as long as it's been properly maintained.

Listen for a whining or noisy turbo and avoid if it is.

I have had Passats to high mileage and have never had a great deal of trouble with them, never had a total engine failure. Current 130PD Passat is at 224,000 miles and seems fine, you do get more rattles once you get up above 150,000 though
