NewNiceMrMe
How is it being rude? It's a fact! I'm so sorry I didn't say "Ooo, I don't wish to upset you, pitter patter, but its been on for a while now, but your information is stil invaluable. After all, it's not like anyone remotely interested in an M3 wouldn't think of visiting the BMW website and see if the car is on the configurator". FFS. I mean lets get something right. The thread was posted on the 9th September. The day AFTER the BMW M3 was launched in the fecking showrooms. So yeah, it's just appeared on the configurator hasn't it. S4 wasn't it Alastair? Sc00t
I wasn't aware,so thanks for the post.I'm just going to pop and have a look
Sc00t
Wow , £57500 to get the one i want. Has the world gone mad or am i just not earning enough ? Its an M3, not a Porsche FFS!
NewNiceMrMe
But a 911 C2S starts at £68k now, and they're about to get a 2% price rise too. You're right though, fortunately it's not a Porsche.
Sc00t
Yeah but a basic 911 starts at £59000. Is it me or have car prices just gone mad. My local dealer has an M5 touring at £75000 , RS6 is going to be £75000, RS4/M3 £55000+ and don't get me started on the R8! The world has gone mad and personally thats why we are on the edge of a big crash! It's been a cheerful day today for me ;
NewNiceMrMe
Perhaps but a basic 911 at £59k is a very rare sight. 325bhp and sod all in them. I do agree in respect of the pricing though, and BMW/Audi are more guilty than most in my opinion.
gcato
IMHO the M3 isn't particularly overpriced relative to the alternatives. £55k for a pretty much fully loaded M3 (EDC, 19"ers, satnav, logic 7, adaptive xenons, heated seats, leather, etc, etc) with 420bhp compared to £60k for a poverty spec 997 C2 seems pretty good value. More so in a few months when discounts shoud be achievable. If you spec a Cayman S up with all the toys including PASM, satnav, 19"ers, decent audio, etc and you'd be looking at well over £50k, and I don't think it comares to the M3. I guess though that the M3 will lose a heap more cash in depreciation than a 911. Anyone had a finance quote on a new M3 yet to see what residual value they use? Ben
I've asked for a quote, but here's some info from BM3W. 24mths £34592 36mths £28920 48mths £24240 60mths £20119

Ben
This is true, but there aren't any more about! Close to about 10% wouldn't you guess?
Gareth
[ QUOTE ] This is true, but there aren't any more about! Close to about 10% wouldn't you guess? [/ QUOTE ] Well I've underwritten 10 E92 M3's so far for clients and the RV depends on their own specific circumstances and not "one figure fits all" that people have quoted. 10% of real world adjustment would be about right however
