pandaA6 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Share Posted September 15, 2007 Hi Crusader, I’ve owned an A6 2.0T S-Line saloon for the past 18 months. Prior to the purchase I tried both the 2.4 and 3.2 versions, I think the 2.0T compares very well with both of these bigger engines. As you probably know, the 2.0T in the A6 is 170 bhp. I was concerned that this may not be sufficient for a large car but I’m very impressed. The engine has been well optimised for the A6 with amazing torque characteristics and flexibility. The car drives very happily in 4th or 5th gear at low speeds and accelerates smoothly. Fuel consumption ranges from 28-30 around town to upper 30’s on a long run. I’ve even seen 41, which is nearly as good as a diesel ! My wife has a Saab 9-3 Aero. Although this is faster than the A6 on paper the difference is not really apparent on the road.
