Luke
No parking your car next to your tent/caravan, how do you get all your gear there then! And worse still, emergency parking, this is where the ground is too wet and they park everyone on the limited hard surfaces. They do this by parking you bumper to bumper and you rely on people coming back at a certain time so that you can get out. Like that's going to work. Can't even go in a chopper because of low cloud and you have to pay up front and there's no refund if they can't fly! FFS!

garcon magnifique
And if you think Silverstone Circuit's "contingency plans" for punters are bad, have a thought for the marshals. I have reports it's like the Somme already. Any questions as to why they're wearing brown instead of orange this year may be met with violence. CarMad
Looking at the free practice and I think a boat would be a better way of getting to the circuit!
theduisbergkid
I really hope the race isn't cancelled, the rain will really mix things up, I feel for the fans watching though.
Mook
Rain is good. I've spent too many GPs at Spa sat up trees, soaking wet, pissed, singing with the Germans. Rain's never been a problem
Cuprabob
Allegedly, 80k people for a Friday practice, in the pouring rain. Very impressive indeed although they are saying some traffic issues.
shao_khan
although they are saying some traffic issues. Yes, they could have said - Traffic is sh1t3 and it would have been closer to the mark I think Friday is bad because all us locals keep forgetting about road closures and stuff and screwing the system up with our tractors :D

Luke
A lot of people trying to get to campsites that are fully booked and then blocking the roads. I think id rather park further away and walk in...

Luke
Silverstone tweeting 'don't come tomorrow if you have a public car parking pass'(given out if you buy a race ticket). Refunds for anyone with an unused Friday or Saturday ticket. Sounds like a disaster. Bernie will go mental.
bazza_g
Bazztard What he said The weather might delay travel somewhat think I'm going to retract my previous statement, apparently its funked up there as trouble getting into the carparks/camping has been spilling out as far back as the motorway! Tipex
This shouldn't happen any more, they spent a fricking fortune on the roads infrastructure around Silverstone, and the car parks, the majority of them are gravel rather than grass now aren't they?
