  1. Not sure if this is the right place, or even if it's been posted before, but hey ho!!! Apologies if it's a double post. http://www.autospies.com/images/users/Agent001/audi_rs6.pps
  2. I used to have a 306 DTurbo and they were great little cars... The engine should be reliable (as most Peugeot Diesels are) and they normally have all of the little electrical bits that you'd expect in a more expensive car. They're also quite nippy (1.9 Turbo) The only downside, is the interior build quality... it's ok, but it doesn't stack up against the german cars.... I had one from 11k on the clock, and by the time I sold it, it had done 86k. The only thing I had to do over and above normal servicing was replace the tyres and a cracked headlight from a stone chip.
  3. I'm not... but my mate is.. He's one of the Helicopter pilots there. Flying down from Northampton.

    Jt1

Spotted near Barbican. a Black/Grey Maybach with the number plate "JT1" Any speculation on who's car that could have been??
  5. I used to think that in my 1.8T..... I've not used ultimate or 'V' Power yet, but I may do next time I fill up.
  6. Not if you take into account the new road tax and residuals.... I can average 45mpg on the motorway, and that's at a steady 70-80mph... The only thing it's lacking is that nice V8 growl... but then it doesn't exactly sound like a diesel anyway, I've had passengers surprised when I've told them it's a diesel. The 3.0 TDI is pretty smooth engine.
  7. Different story around town though.... somewhere between 25-30
  8. Thanks.... I suspected as much, but have always bought from dealers normally so am a bit wary of Autotrader.
  9. Just seen this, and it seems to be a tad cheap for the age/mileage and fuel type (thinking of tax and econ here). Do you think it's genuine?... would be a good car for the missus. Auto Trader UK - AUDI A2 1.4 TDI 90 Sport 5dr Diesel Hatchback=
  10. I think you can... because all you do is drag your library (off the PC) onto her IPOD. I have the 30GB normal one, and I bought my missus a Nano at Christmas. Just plug it in and drag the songs across.
  11. You didn't have your car key in your pocket with something else did you? (i.e. you sat down and it pressed on the unlock buttin for a period of time) I know on my A4, the range was pretty good and I could almost lock/unlock my car from anywhere in the house.
  12. Perhaps it's your wheel bearings... just guessing mind, as I know they normally make a humming sound.
  13. The current TT hasn't been out for that long.... must only be 18 months or so!! I'm sure someone else will be able to be a little more precise.
  14. You'll love driving it, it's a great motorway cruiser too, it just soaks up the miles.... looks the same externally as mine (apart from the 58 plate ), and mine has the strarlight leather inside... FYI, I managed 45mpg coming back from Scotland, but it's easy to blow that on quick back roads and town driving, but it still thrashes the 1.8T for economy. I still haven't got used to the turning circle and front nose yet, compared to my A4 so I'm extra careful with gateways etc still. Glad you like it.. and a great looking car (I would say that though )
  15. There's plenty of stuff to figure out and play with.... but nothing beats the drive always puts a smile on my face......
  16. I guess they're similar to these: Wheelbase - official ACE, DeCorsa and Konig distributor in the UK
  17. When you delve through their archives, you find the pictures which say "Car magazines" artists impression... I guess there is speculation everywhere.... more here: Audi RS5 : not just LED lights
  18. Personally I would consider these guys.... I used them when I trashed an 18" RS6 style wheel on my A4 and I needed an new set of tyres anyway. Wheelbase - official ACE, DeCorsa and Konig distributor in the UK
  19. I know... but I was wondering if they'd superseded the idea of split screen by having it displayed more comprehensively on the DIS instead. Couple of pics of my DIS for reference.... You are probably right about it not necessarily replacing the split screen adequately, but like I said in my original post, I never got to play with an RNS-E so I'm just passing on my current experiences as I have no comparison.
  20. That's what I mean.... my DIS will show the roundabout with however many exits there are and highlights the one I need to take in a different shade of blue. It will also show a "countdown" bar of how far the junction is. I was trying to find a picture as an example, but am failing miserably.
  21. I'm sure some of the more experienced will correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't the MMI setup in the A4 very similar to the A5? by that I mean, my A5 has intersect zoom (it's an option on the map zoom menu) and isn't the split screen aspect, now handled by the DIS? as in I get a 3D image of a roundabout (or whatever the junction loks like from the map) and a concise route information etc.... But, seeing asnever had the old RNS-E or whatever, I maybe completely wrong about my comparisons.
  22. I've got an A5 (assuming the MMI is the same) and I've not been able to do this..... and you're right, it would be a nice feature to at least have the option.
  23. Fair point.... As I said I was driving on country back roads (ie. no kerbs and no white lines at sides) and it was the first time I'd driven with them on.... As for "Trez Kev"...... hmmm LEDs?
  24. Thanks for the replies.... and it was my fog lights I was refering to. Main Beam defintely wasn't on (and I don't have MB assist as far as I know), and when you compare the fog lights with the normal headlights they certainly aren't any brighter. As pointed out, I can only assume I was being flashed because my fogs were on...
  25. I'm sure this isn't a new observation but here goes..... I don't normally drive with Spots on, but the other night I was on some back roads and decided to turn them on... nothing wrong there I thought, apart from the fact I noticed that nearly every other car on said quiet road started to flash me, so I turned them off. I got home and had a look, and the only thing I can gather, is that the main headlights (Xenons) are very very white and in comparison the spots are quite yellow. I can only assume that the other drivers thoughtI was on main beam because the headlights and LEDs were so much whiter. That said, I think the Spots look crap and I think it maybe time for a bulb change. Any suggestions please?? I'm assuming somone must have been through this already. Ta
