  5. Rj I would have thought the residuals on an RS4 would be quite good 4 years with 40k circa 22-25k. Awesome car mate I am sure you wont be disappointed if you go for it. I wouldnt have thought that your insurance would go up too much. £1000 may be
  6. I have an A4 2.0T s-line quattro saloon manual. Reg May 2005, 24,000 miles, phnatom black, 18" 5arms, Bose, Black Alacantara, front centre arm rest and phone prep. Excellent condition The valuation I have just done with parkers comes out at £20,035 but this is assuming the car has done 10,000 miles and has no extras. Considering I have done 24,000 miles but have the above optional extras what should I ask for it? Thanks

    A8 3.7

I saw an ad in the Times today for a new A8 3.7 quattro for £34999 that is 19000 off the list price. It was with Motorpoint
  8. [ QUOTE ] I may get shot down for this, but I seriously hope audi improve the performance of their 3.0tdi engine, sequential turbos ala the 535d would be nice, or they need to start thing thinking about adding the 4.2tdi to the range. We took the 3.0tdi A6 s-line avant out a few weeks ago as my old man was thinking about getting one, and although it was fine and he thought it was fast enough I thought it felt positively lathargic. You probably think it feels slow because you have got a rocket ship of a car. I went in a none tuned 535d and it felt f***ing rapid. I hate to think what a DMS tuned will perform like.
  9. [ QUOTE ] Let me know what plate it has on it and I'll give you a price from my Glass's Guide [/ QUOTE ] Thanks everyone it is an 05 plate registered May 2005 Cheers
  10. I need some expert advice, I was made redundant a few weeks ago and am thinking of selling my car. It is an Audi A4 B7 2.0T s-line quattro 4 door manual. Excellent condition Phantom black 22,000 miles 18inch 5 arm alloys Bose Black Alcantara Centre arm rest with phone prep. What should I be asking for on a private sale? Many Thanks
  11. There is a black RS4 for sale in The Times today (page 77). Sat Nav, 0 miles, UK car etc... £55k
  12. I can only lock and unlock my car now by putting the key into the lock. I have just tried my spare and the same thing happens. Does anyone no how to fix this or do I need to take it to my dealer.
  13. Without wanting to sound disrespectful the DB9 would have pi*sed all over you had he wanted to.
  14. I have a an A4 2.0T quattro s-line and it is re-mapped. I would go for quattro especially if you get yours re-mapped. In my opinion phantom black is the best colour and the 18" 5 arm alloys look nice too. I went for Alcantara leather and think it looks nicer than full leather. I would also consider BOSE and front centre arn rest(nice for long journeys. Its definitely no M3 performance wise, but now its re-mapped would compare well against a BMW 330petrol or an A4 3.2. Good luck
  15. It was a mobile van and I think he is linked to one of the centres in Bucks. Are you happy with your remap?
  16. I have an A4 2.0T and got mine re-mapped with Superchips. I have done about 16,000 miles of which 14,000 is with the remap. The performance increase is quite impressive. It has added circa 40-45bhp and 30-40 foot pounds of torque. 0-60 has improved by about 1 second, and 0-100 by about three seconds. for £500 it really is worth it providing the engine doesnt pack up and Audi tell me that my warranty is void. I would recommend Superchips and would also try AMD. Good luck with it
  17. My leasing company will only allow certain brands of tyre in their Maintenance deals. I wanted Goodyear F1's but they are not on the list. Which of these would you go for Michelin Pilot Sport II Continental Sport Contact II Pirelli P zero Rosso
  18. I have a car just like yours on a 3 yr PCP deal with Lex. I got 6.9% apr and they have recently gone up. Im not sure if you will get much better than 6.9%apr. I have also thought about an S4 but it just isnt worth it yet. To pay off Lex will cost me circa 24k and I will be doing well if I get that in a private sale. I assume you are in a similar position and if you change cars now could cost you a few quid.
  19. Quote I have had mainly diesel A4's. I find you need a completely different driving style to a petrol car, for instance, you need to change gear at much lower revs and really "drive" diesels. The petrol cab seemed to keep generating power to much higher revs, making fewer gear changes. I know exactly what you mean UBM, I used to own a golf GTI TDI 150bhp and it just wasnt worth revving the car past 4,000 rpm. I got so used to this driving stlye that when I had a driving experience at Thruxton in a Ferrari 355 I kept changing gear to earler and didnt get the full experience.(Which pis*ed mer right off). About a year later I went back to Thruxton and drove a Murcielago. This time I had a proper drive and remember getting up to 130mph in 3rd gear.
  20. I plan on keeping my A4 B7 2.0T quattro for about another 18 months. It will then be 2 and a quarter years old and have about 50,000 miles on the clock. I would then like to get a B7 S4, or an RS3 if they decide to produce them.
  21. [ QUOTE ] I had a good guess then! [/ QUOTE ] Yes mate. I kind of miss my Golf GTI anniversary 150bhp diesel. I used to get 49mpg and around 600 miles out of a tank.
  22. I reckon if you buy a 2.0T avant, the fuel economy will be very similar to your 3litre. I have a re-mapped 2.0T and am getting about 25mpg.
  23. [ QUOTE ] Bit of advice, If that's your real postcode then change the link so it doesn't include anything that could help someone pinpoint a nice A4 quattro s-line...... oh, and it does look like a good price but I think the 4th one at £25,500 is even better without too many more miles [/ QUOTE ] I appreciate the advice but thats not my postcode
