mmj
Hi, thought I would post on here to see what you guys thoughts were and to see if anyone had any other suggestions? My little ol Corrado has finally reached the end (for me anyhoo) as the engine requires major attention (tapping, top end). The poor thing isn't in pristine condition, so it isn't even worth scrapping and selling piecemeal as many other owners have done! I've considered giving it a thorough clean inside and out and parking it on the main road (at the top of my own road) with a 'For Sale' sign, but I really don't want the hassle of dealing with the innevitable idiots... I'm thinking a very frank and detailed description listing on Ebay is the way forward??? It's heart breaking to have to let it go, but since I have already replaced it and I am running out of space with all the other vehicles! The nice thing is, I have just bought the car of my dreams! Admittedly I was about 12 years old and odd, but still! Vauxhall Astra Estate! Woohoo '96 model and mechanically perfect. So, here is the 'C' when I first had her: Let us know what you think
Snail
Evay. My old A4 failed its MOT very badly, and i decided to junk her. Put her on ebay expecting £50. Ended up selling her almost instantly for £450, and by the speed she sold, im sure id have got a lot more.
mb
I sold mine (admittedly it was a very good one) via the Corrado OC web site apologised I had only found the site when looking to sell & got lots of responses/telephone calls so I would try there + it goes to an enthusiast. Still like them when I see them on the roads today think the shape still looks good though imagine the interior must look very dated now.
theduisbergkid
Another lovely old motor eached the end of the road, to be replaced by yet another dull-mobile ! Sure you'll shift it no probs on Fleabay, or stick an ad on here or PH. Good luck.

[/ QUOTE ] If it's just the tappets (highly likely on an ageing VW), it's an easy(ish) job to do.
Ari
I'd have thought it'd be a good DIY project for someone for a couple of hundred quid. An ad on Ebay has to be worth a try. Nothing ventured etc... Looking forward to my spin in the new Vauxhall Ashtray mate!
Ari
Incidently, beautifully taken photo there I'd say...

Mook
Why. Who the feck would buy the plate for anything more than £50? Oh yes, it says GILL, or is that G111. So it'll be time to change your name by deed poll again.

kermitfrog
[ QUOTE ] Linky to info page [/ QUOTE ] Breaks my heart! Hope you shift it. Could also try and strip the body panels - there's always a market for individual wings, bumpers, etc considering how difficult they are to come by. Deffo get an ad onto The Corrado Forum as previously mentioned. Just bought a minted Alpine White VR6 myself. Need to update my sig and I like yours Can we share?
