m4ttm4son
Almighty detailers, I come seeking wisdom I'm helping a friend out soon with cleaning his Z3 that has been in his garage since last summer. It's got quite dusty in there (understatement) and of course we'll be rinsing and foaming the bodywork to get rid of anything scratchy before tackling with a mitt, but what about the rag-top? Is there a brush to use or can I rinse/ foam this too? Also what products do you recommend for upkeep on the top and plastic window for long lasting protection/ awesome looks? Pincher
Hoover it first with the extension pole thingy to get the majority of dust off?
drpellypo
This is what I do: If it's dusty, I use 3m tape (the low tack stuff) and using 3 inch wide strips (so strips stuck together) I go over the top and lift any bits of lint etc off. Then I use Renovo products to clean, and then seal. Works a treat!

Cleaned and treated the soft top on the VX in March last year and the water still beads nicely on the fabric now. In fact, the fabric roof is about the only bit that hasn't leaked over the last month.
