Dave
What's the easiest way to transfer your iTunes library? I'm thinking cat5 cable.. just transfer the iTunes folder over.. open new itunes (on new PC) and import? Is there an easier way? Cheers Dave
Mac
No, you're bang on. If you want PC -> PC remember you need a cross-over cable. Also, if you have purchased music in your library you need to 'deauthorize' your original PC and 'authorize' your new one with your iTunes account. Dave
Thanks mate, how do you de-authorise and re-authorise? I thought you just had the one itunes account?

Booster
I've been meaning to do this for a while. Can't I just plug the ipod into the new pc and transfer it from the ipod?
Mac
Nope - not without some fancy buggery. Easier just to copy over.
Booster
Hmmm. So what do I need then and how do I do it?
Booster
Was recommended some software that sorts this problem Music Rescue . It downloads all your music from your ipod to a folder, you just then copy the folder and paste it into itunes and voila!!
