I didtched the run flats on teh ones series at 8k miles, they were wearing unevenly and felt dangerous.

On the 535d I ditched them at 6000 miles, just because they were horrid, however the rears didn't look like they had that much left on them at all anyway.

What car is it?? How many miles a year do you do?? Makes a big difference.

What tyre is it?? The Pirellis wear really fast and uneven, the Bridgestones (from 05/06 cars) wear out really quickly too and start to become very twitchy early on, where as the Michelins seem to be pretty good, as do the newer Bridgestones.

They are all different.

Well I would guess you will get around 15k from the rears and 25k on the fronts.

I think I would ditch them now while they are worth soemthing on ebay and put on 4 nice Falken FK452's, and a spacesaver in teh boot. Makes the car so much nicer to drive. 169144-ok.gif

Hi,

Just changed the original 225/50 R17 Dunlop runflats today.

The vehicle is a 520D SE Touring (57 Plate).

I got 29,000 miles out of the rears.

Tread on the rears was down to 1.6 mm and wear was pretty even.

The original fronts are still going strong.

The recent snow reminded me it was time to renew!

Cheers,
