Mollox
My laptop doesn't seem to recognise my new 2gb SD Card - says its "not formatted" yet my desktop (both running XP) picks it up and reads it fine. Any ideas?
Chav
what formatting is sd card using? normally 2GB cards are older SD format rather than hdsc so can be readable in virtually anything. is laptop running xp and is it integrated card reader? Mac
Could be service pack levels too - is your laptop an older SP compared to your desktop?

Correct on all counts - never had a problem with the laptop reading SD so confused. Mac, the lappy should be a more up to date version of XP and in fact I think had a service pack update last week. Confused.
Mac
They both the same levels of SP? What you could do is copy off the stuff on it, then reformat/partition it on the one that doesn't work - chances are it'll then work on both.
