Andy_Bangle
Can't even push it all the way in let alone twist to lock it in place. Has anyone else suffered with this? Yeh, mine is the same - I have to use a hammer to get it on or off
davyk31
This was discussed on here before if you do a search. If all your other lances go on ok then its the fault of the foam lance rather than your pressure washer so cant see WD40 doing anything. The answer is to drill a tiny bit out of the foam lance brass so that it slips onto your pressure washer easier. I did this and now it fits really easily whereas before it hardly went on. P_G
On the subject of Snow Foam I have moved away from this and on to Megs Hyper Wash. I found the snow foam after trying several dilutions always stripped the wax off my car or didn't remove the dirt from one end of the spectrum to the other. Hyper wash is fantatsic, even in my non savvy el cheapo Karcher from Halfrauds foam lance. After rinsing, wash with two buckets, one with Zymol shampoo, another rinse and dry off with Megs Last Touch the car comes up like new now. Managed to acquire a US 1 gallon bottle of hyper wash and similar sized last touch with spray dispenser bottle for £45 including next day delivery. steelwind101
HAHA!! There is another person, im no lover of Snow Foam either really. It dont find its effective on the kinda road grime i have (im a heavy city driver, 17K a yr a central london, thats ALOT of time on the roads when u work out how many miles u can do in the traffic). Its over kill on my 20 mile a week Lancer. It seems effective on water that gets washed up on the car with road grime in, salt, any of those kinda things. But they are not the kinda issue i face with my cars. In theory Hyperwash might be an issue for the LSP too but what ever works!

Tarmac_Terrorist
I only tend to snow foam if the car is very very dirty. I otherwise rinse well with a hose to soften the dirt before usual hand washing. I can't make my mind up if snow foaming removes LSP or not. I've had my doubts about it in the past but can't say i've really personally seen any evidence of this. I guess it may come down to how durable the LSP is and how well it was applied (prep stages etc). I really don't see any great value in snow foaming only slightly dirty cars - as most find, it doesn't remove all dirt anyway.
Dave
I like snow foam, it certainly doesn't remove my zymol.. the car still beads when i've used it. I hose car down, spray on snow foam, let sit for a few minutes and then rinse off. Clean using mitt and two bucket of zymol shampoo. You have to think of how dirt sticks to your car.. it's all to do with surface tension and weak bonds.. the snow foam breaks down these bonds and some/most of the dirt falls off.. it's not an excuse to not wash the car but it speeds it up and removes some of the rubbish that could cause scratching of the surface. wyliss
Tone, I seem to remember that the brass connector needed to be slightly drilled out so it would fit Karcher machines. Have a look over on DW there is plenty of info on that site about it. hi guysI purchased my snow foam lance a couple of years ago from Autobright I think. Its stopped engaging with my karscher like the two lances that come with it. Can't even push it all the way in let alone twist to lock it in place. Has anyone else suffered with this? It's become impossible to use so wonder if they have limited life!! Cheers Tone
Dave
The bottles seem to be a bit flimsy, but the head unit is quality.. you can buy replacement bottles cheaply.

Hi Guys Thanks for the tips - when you say "drilled out" the two brass bits that hold it in place when you twist - they need to be reduced in size? I am wondering how they get so screwed cos it used to "just work" now I have to wrestle with the f**ker which usually ends up with being very damp between the legs() when I accidently spray the gun trying to remove it! Fecking thing, if you have a photo handy of what is to be done - I will execute it! Thanks! Tone

wyliss
Cheers for that Dibbs - now I understand Tone No worries Tone. I've just ordered a new Karcher K7.85 pressure washer so it will be interesting to see what sort of foam effect I will get from it. From reading other posts I may be pleasantly surprised. Good luck with drilling out exercise, shouldn't take you long.
