From discussion on the RS6 forum at rs246.com

We are attemptiong to get Audi to address the ongoing problem with drc on Rs4 and 6 models.

Please see the thread for more info.

TEXT WATCHDOG ON 30th OF MARCH 19:30 !! DRC ACTION !!

This has got to be worth a shot !!

If as many of us can do this as possible at the same time then it may get some attention.

I've put the date and time into the phone as an alarm to remind me to send in a text and will draft a text out ready to send, that way I dont have to be watching to know when to send it.

Text Watchdog

While the programme is live on air (between 7.30pm and 8pm on Mondays), you can text your comments and thoughts to us. Start your message with the letters WD and send it to 83199. Texts are charged at standard rates.

I should also add that as there are a lot of gripes common to Audis service and customer relations that I would encourage all Audi owners who have had poor service etc to Text in also ...................

Discussion on the RS4 forum at RS246.com shows that opinion there is divided about whether getting Watchdog involved is a good idea or not.

On the RS4 Audi UK have extended the warranty to 5 years and introduced re-designed components, so is there any need to get journalists involved who won't understand the issues and technology and could sensationalise this issue to the detriment of resale prices.

As an RS4 owner my personal opinion is that the mass text to Watchdog is NOT a good idea.

I too read most of the RS246 banter (seems to be down right now...) and I too wasn't really sure that this course of action was really going to achieve a lot, apart from almost certainly raise peoples awareness about the problematic DRC which can only serve to devalue the cars..... Shooting ones self in the foot really.

I've got a 2003 RS6, with coilovers already, so DRC isnt a concern to me, but at £1500 for a swap out, I can see why folks might want to take a chance on trying to get a free set from Audi, but it seems very, highly unlikely...

I cant' comment on the RS4, as it wasn't until reading this I realised Audi had made the same mistakes again - Still they're under warranty I guess....

Yep - isolated problem (Affecting only a handful of limited production, high-end examples) and a complicated, difficult to explain, geeky technical issue. BAD TV...

Comet selling exploding toasters (for example) would win hands down every day.

A petition to Audi would have more impact in my opinion...
