shipy
Buying a 2005 3.2 TT and have been offered either a year extension to the 1 year warranty or 2 yrs free servicing. Car will only do about 5k a year and the car is being serviced before sale. Want’s the consensus on which to take? Thanks.
sidicks
I would have anticipated that an extra years' warranty is worth circa £850, whereas the 2 years servicing (for you doing such low mileage) would probably be less than £500. Someone more familiar with TT servicing should be able to confirm..... Sidicks
Hopsta
More to the point is what can you save if you have any 'issues' with dealer rates being over £100 p/h.

Andy_Bangle
Warranty - the car is now 4 years old and this will cover you till year 5, after that you may want to take the car to an indie for the servicing.
PetrolDave
Warranty - servicing you can plan for, (expensive) repairs covered by the warranty you can't.

dq1
I agree, warranty is the best way to go. I put aside a set amount each month towards servicing as this is a fixed amount

sidicks
Presumably the warranty also includes breakdown cover? Sidicks
shipy
Presumably the warranty also includes breakdown cover? Sidicks I think so. Looks like consensus is warranty, give the stealer a bell in the morning. Many thanks for all the replies.
