I see you're new the site and are not quite up on what it is about, if you had been here longer you would know the amount and variey of cars I've had.

With stupid posts like that maybe you should go and fight it out on scoobynet.

Your irony is not lost on me, but a little out of context and quite frankly, you have just come across as a bit of a fool AFAIAC.

Look, I get your point but I just think you are underestimating the appeal the R32 will have when it becomes attainable to the undesireables,

I have said all I will say on the matter.

Fair play. I see where you're coming from too. Still reckon you've got too much time on your hands to be looking up those pictures though. That green thing was especially scary! All friends again beerchug.gifbeerchug.gif

I must admit that when I got the R32 I seriously considered a new Scooby but didn't even get as far as a test drive because of the missus and all the earache I was getting just for looking at them!

Yawn, don't argue with Scooby owners.

Don't you know they're always right and Scooby are also THE best cars on the planet. Yeah right...

Basically the Scooby owners would love an M3 but can't afford one. He could afford the R32 but doesn't want one. So he hates the idea of somebody who can afford an M3 changing for an R32. Get used to it.

Ohh thats a bit harsh...unless its a joke cool.gif

I wouldn't judge people on what they drive...I once didn't take a guy seriously when he asked me for an estimate to refurb 5 houses because he turned up in a tatty subaru forester.Found out later than hes a multi-millionaire scrape dealer and I lost about £60k in profits frown.gif

At the end of the day, by the time a max power boy racer gets hold of an R32, i wont be having one. I think this will be a long time coming, and there are similar cars with worse resifuals which could be more appealing in this market. I.e Alpha 147 GTA... Even the focus RS wil stay cheaper for a bit, and that is far more max power.

In regards to at the mo, isnt the scooby, the most max power, with the body kit and the spoiler, not saying this is bad thing, becasue it is a genuinly fast car, which looks the part, but this and the evo 7 extreem, or 6 Makinin, for the every day joe, are the max power cars on the road, today...

But still great cars, and i would have had one.. if it had all the luxuries of the R32 beerchug.gif

Firstly, WOW.

I just remembered that I posted this, so came to check and saw FORTY ONE replies in less than 24hrs ! Good going. Unfortunately, it seems that about 30 of those replies were internal quarrelling over what (from an outsider) seems to be largely petty issues, however Im not here to judge, rather I'd like to get information from you existing owners.

I dont see the R32 as inferior to the M3, I think its down to personal preference. As we all know, cars are a highly subjective and very personal thing. I think arguments revolving around "golf beats xxx, or mine is faster.." etc is just wasting cycles. Its almost impossible to get car afficionados to agree that the car they chose is inferior to a similar car in the same category. So why bother. Lets all just have fun ! (unless you just enjoy the wind-up)!!

FYI, Im looking to change because were thinking of moving this year, and bricks and mortar are worth more to me than pressed steel and alloys. The R32 should hopefully provide me with an enjoyable experience for the next couple of years until its time to change, but hopefully for a lot less. Im looking forward to 4wd, especially after 343hp RWD in snow... which was frightening to say the least. I had a 911 C2 before the M3, so you could say I am going backwards with my car choices. I dont see it like that. I look forward to testdriving the R32 on Monday, and if I like it. I look forward to joining your ranks grin.gif

thanks for the welcome, hope to join the rank and file soon beerchug.gif

Thats precisely what I thought when I saw your first post. Not knowing me from Adam, yet implying that I was stupid to be thinking about going from an M3 to an R32. You also have know no idea what cars Ive owned, yet you choose to berate another new poster for this same reason.

Which is exactly the conclusion I came to about 0.01 seconds after reading your reply to my 1st post.

I presume you are the local forum troll. I dont feed trolls so unless I can see any value in responding to any of your future posts, adieu mon ami.

Well "Will", before you cast aspertions upon me, maybe you should familiarise yourself with the site first, your holier than thou attitude is a little hypocrytical judging by your response, not once did I become derogatory such as "local forum troll", if you can't accept a little banter, maybe there are other sites more suited to your impressive intellect and knowledge of cars.

Owners of R32's seem too defensive, why, I am not this way about my P1, which IMO is far, far better than an R32.

[/ QUOTE ]

If we are so defensive why are you on our site looking at R32 comments? I love P1's I think apart from the 22B it is the only time they have done it right. But I love the fact that in 10 years time the R32 will be a classic the fact that the interior is way beyond anything in its class. Its the whole package with the R32 a standard R32 V's a Standard P1 I reckon would be bloody close. Must admit for a 4cylinder .....What a noise beerchug.gif

But at the end of the day I am a VW fan who has done MkI to MkIV so R32 is the tops for me FIREdevil.gif

confused.gifconfused.gif Our site!!!! I thought tyresmoke was for everyone, R32 forum or not, no matter what you drive.

I respond to the recent posts forum, not specifically the R32 forum. I don't remember comparing a P1 with an R32.
