I'm not surprised at all to be honest, it's not going to be too hard to fix up, I'm sure a body shop could sort it out for well under 10k.

Biggest problem appears to be that it looks like it was never looked after from the day it rolled off the forecourt, interior is filthy and full of old food wrappers, although I guess it could have been stolen?

Biggest expense looks like the gearbox, assuming it's damaged, but the fact the drive shaft has detached suggests it's saved the box form any damage, so mechanically all it really needs is the front corner suspension and brakes etc.

I've seen a lot worse cars put back on the road!

£20K? would not go 20p on that particular car.

I mean what price the mechanicals for a start off?

Not exactly A3 running gear is it, and not exactly lying around your local breaker in vast quantities.

Good luck to whoevers buying it, but IMO you buy Cat D to own, enjoy and keep, because I for one, would never ever buy a repaired cat D, and I personally dont know anyone that does or would, the resale market for such cars must be very limited, if I am incorrect in that view, would appreciate some feedback, from those better in the know

"£28057" thats a lot for a cat D with repair costs and sell on !!!

Good luck to whoever bought it!!! , the resale market for recorded cars must be very limited, as it will allways be worth £5k - £10k less on PX???!!!

Totally agree, absolutey Dagenhom price, I personally dont know of any stealers who take Cat D in PX, and as said previously I for one would never consider buying a wrap off, wahtever the price, if it has been repaired, if you have done it yourself , then at least you have "piece of mind"

I wonder if this car will end up cloned with no Cat D to it's name......

Tidy profit for the unscrupulous.

Fair point, I used to know of a crew in the East End, when I worked there back in the day, that used to do that, all were high end cars, they apparently came unstuck whilst whilst trying to

blag a legitinmate sale, with a Lotus Carlton, not exactly the most common Car about in those days
