AudiPartner
I understand what this means (I am allowed to take the vehicle on public roads to get to my land, with 1.5km of where the vehicle is registered), but what happens if I am "caught" further away than this? I wonder if I will be treated the same as if I were being caught without tax, or whether I might just be told to pay for my free tax disc?? Tipex
I've never heard of this taxation class?
AudiPartner
Its meant for agricultural vehicles that don't get used on the road. You get your tax disc for nowt. The vehicles are however allowed to use the roads to get from land A to land B, within 1.5km of "base". So my question is what if you get found beyond more than 1.5km from base. What is the penalty? Pay for the tax, or pay a fine (and the tax). I figured when I put the vehicle in my name it would revert back to normal classification and I'd buy my road tax, but it hasn't. stooH
Ok, so now you've cleared up what the class is what have you bought, did I miss something? Is there a Massey Ferguson on your drive way?
billy2shots
If that tax class doesn't apply to you then you need to go to your local dvla and correct it (and buy the correct tax). It's the same as if a disabled person who gets free tax and sells the car to you with the tax still in place. You are not disabled so would have to get it changed. As for what would happen? You would get done for not having tax.

Is there a Massey Ferguson on your drive way? I wish. Only an old Landy Defender. Good for dump runs. Which come to think of it, might just be less than 1.5km away.
