Busby
Wow! Who saw 'that lap' from Rossi coming? I thought he might break into the first row but never expected him to pull out the lap of the weekend so far. The incredible thing was that he wasn't the fastest person in any of the four sectors Doesn't seem like a year since I was there and I can tell you that everytime Rossi is mentioned/seen on the screens/gors past on the track/etc, the noise is incredible. When he passed the line and went into pole the place must have gone bananas. Not a single person will have slept in the campsites last night!! What do you think for the race? If Lorenzo gets out in front I think he might do the same as last year as his practice day laps were very quick and very consistent. However, I don't think he'll be able to break away due to Rossi, Ianone, Marquez and Vinales all fighting with him. It seems like it's going to be a belter! Scotty
I love it when Rossi qualifies well. It shakes it up. He thrives there so I expect him to do well but I think it'll be a real battle today. Looking forward to it

That's over 220mph,now that is quick:-) Edited May 22, 2016 by Cuprabob
Busby
Such a shame for the race that Rossi's engine blew. I am sure the Yamaha engineers will be there late figuring out what happened and whether it was the same issue that saw Lorenzo's go bang during FP4. It was also a shame for the race that Ianone had clutch issues off the line as he definitely had the pace to run at the front. I was shocked that Marquez caught Lorenzo though and made such a good race of it. Can you imagine what Lorenzo was thinking as the line approached and he knew he was just going to pip Marquez?! Must've been a hell of a feeling as he crossed the line. Scotty
Insane speeds and agree with the above. Rossi going out deflated the event. Moto2 was prob best race this weekend.
burble
Moto2 was prob best race this weekend. Agreed but re-start procedure was a complete cluster feck. How can so many riders ignore the red light at the end of the pit lane? I enjoyed the MotoGP reace, I would have of course prefered Rossi to have stayed in it even though I'm not a fan of his. Lorenzo obviously couldn't believe that he managed to win, I thought he'd lost it. A shame for Iannone, I would have really liked to see a red bike win the race. Mort
Tragic about Rossis engine. Worrying that the same thing happened to Lorenzo. Great race though. The last few laps were epic. The best since Barcleona 2009. If Rossi were there it could have been better.
