BeakerBuddy
Morning All, Just wondered how far you 3.2 drivers have got before your first service to see what sort of mileage you were up to at the time? I think I am right in saying that the interval varies depending on the type of driving the car has gone through? I know that I could look in the manual to confirm that but it isn't nearby at the moment. I'm nearly up to 12K and am used to a 10K interval on my golf so getting nervy! The service reminder on the golf never worked properly so I suppose that is fuelling my anxiety with warranties etc. All thoughts welcome Cheers

BeakerBuddy
Funny you should mention coolant, mine flashed up this week and the level was only just visible in the reservoir. 20K for your service is a comfort to me, cheers
stevebalfe
Only on 8.5k at the min, but at 2k per month, i'll soon be due a service i reckon. Will let you know, although mines mainly motorway miliage,so presume i'll be similar to rjgreen with my servoce interval.

MikeeB
The DIS will tell you when the service is due with the press of a button or two.... Mine's currently saying nearly 600 days and/or ~18k miles.
ChrisDev
Yep, around 20K is normal, but I heard it works it out based on the fuel usage. So if you drive like a nutter, more fuel is used, and the sooner the service will come around. Remember to shop around when the service is due, different dealerships will charge different prices! BeakerBuddy
Cheers, I'll check out the DIS later, I assume that its not any old button or combination so I will have to have a flick through the manual.
StephV6
yep mine is 10500miles and service is due in about 6800miles (or 195 days ????) what you just have to do is pull once quickly the button on the right of the DIS
Pidge
well i've done 9500 and the DIS tells me that i'm due a service in 4500. Seems a bit low but i do tend to have a heavy right foot.
