AZURES3
These monitors are excellent we have them at work, with one of the best height adjustable stands there is. It was not long ago that you could pay more than this for a 17" LCD. Dell SALE Website AZ

Ritey
I've got a 21" CRT would it be worth going to 19" LCD ? or should I keep the 21" ?
Rugbyfiend
Here: http://www.aria.co.uk/dealfortoday.asp about half way down the page is the same monitor for £230 not inc delivery, less warranty than Dell, 1 year versus 3 but still a pretty good deal. SneakyMcC
These spec's (below) look like the only differences in the 2 monitors on my short list. The Dell looks inferior initially but is LCD. I like the way Dell PC’s are built and assume that any monitor with their name on it can be relied on to be a good bet. Should I go for the Dell, there’s about £30 in it if I remember correctly? There is another Aria monitor that is LCD too, and the same lower spec as the Dell. Am I correct in imagining that the differences are so small I'd never be able to tell? They both have gr8 customer write up's ( ). I should get the Dell shouldn't I? And and should I buy it from Aria or Dell? Si_GTi
Theres not a lot to choose between the two monitors, but the Aria has the edge in the technical specs. If you put the two side by side you'd not notice a difference in the picture quality or brightness/contrast though, so it's half a dozen of one and six of the other really Ritey, I have a 17" TFT here at home, which is the equivalent in terms of viewing size as an 18" CRT. It therefore follows that the 19" TFT monitor would be comparible in screen size to your current CRT monitor. So it really depends on if you want your desk space back, as a hooooge 21" CRT must be swallowing up your desk real estate

CarMad
Just read a review on LCD panels in PC Pro and basically the response times are very misleading. The quoted figures are often the time it takes to get from black to white or voltage and no voltage. This can be very quick but what is harder to do is go from colour to colour or grey to grey. This requires very accurate voltage changes and might take 35ms even on a low quoted LCD. Apparently they are creating a standard that will have to be quoted on each product for later this year to cover the above. So be wary and have a look at it before you buy or find a review on it if you can.

cruiser647
Might depend upon what is is going to be used for. You need to make sure the 75Hz refresh is at the max resolution of the monitor (good for games only really).........don't want you fitting like a chief fitting thing on fitting day. Given a choice of 21"CRT or 19" TFT - probably stick with the CRT - much more flexible with resolutions and refresh/response rates (until you come to move it!)
