benson01
[ QUOTE ] Type of Driver: Well of Chav...Only joking...! [/ QUOTE ] Okey dokey... the first and last chav reference me hopes. Lets end this right here. It's the start of something good this Honda bit, and who hasn't seen chav's driving M3's, Evo's, Scooby's etc etc etc...... CTR's are no less or more likely to be driven by people who wear Burberry
benson01
Ritey gets the first post in!! Nice one. You can actually take your pick for CTR 0-60. My 02 model is supposed to be 6.6 to 62MPH, but honda say 6.4 to 60MPH. And the 04 model is supposed to be 0.2 quicker, so that would make 0-60 @ 6.2...go figure everyone. leonardo
do you think the civic type is better than a golf gti? i'm really torn because i prefer the gti, but the civic is much better value... appreciate any views!
Ritey
End of the day I think your budget will dictate. If your aftere fun all the time, then the golf will probably serve you better. The Honda has to be driven hard to get the most out of it, which doesn't lend itself in servicing or tyre wear etc, whereas the golf will perform from go if you want it too. I would have thought, unless your talking about the new GTI that you should be able to pick up a good example last model GTI too for good value

[/ QUOTE ] You got a stock R32? If so then dream on buddy. Check your stats (REF EVO Magazine) The R32 is 0.2secs faster to 60 and 0.5 secs quicker to 100. Hardly wees on the CTR does it! This of course is due to your Golf's ENOURMOUS weight excess of 1477kg compared to the Honda's trim 1205KG. This colosal weight is why you don't wee on anything Even with your 3.2ltr engine............... loddrik
Benson, get a life, no-one on here cares, go back to the CTR forums and then you can all group masturbate each other, if we all rated the CTR as high as you, we'd all buy them, fact is no-one on here has got one (more or less), so stop going on FFS. benson01
Listen up buddy,,, I am sticking to my forum! I wish others would do the same. Why do other folks from the other forum sections jump in and just decide to talk crap? Like the R32 owner. Stick to the facts and we will all get on. The R32 is NOT faster in any way than my car. So why say it is? I am obviously going to defend my car. That's natural. The point is I don't go in the R32 or any other forum and start talking bullshit about how my car is faster round a track than the R32, so why do it in the Honda forum! I have been a member of Tyresmoke forum for over a year including when I had my Polo GTI. Now I have changed my car and the SNOB element of Tyresmoke (which has been discussed before at length me thinks) starts laying in to me like I'm a lad wearing a baseball cap driving a Nova. WHAT IS WITH THIS CRAP? Maybe I won't post anymore on Tyresmoke, or maybe I will, but I can tell you this, that as a member of another Type R forum I have to say that the respect given to other cars on the other forum is actually a WHOLE LOT better than it is on Tyresmoke. Sad state of affairs that isn't it.

Chav
You plonker What "crap" did I just talk out of interest? And why does everything have to be a battle and involve insults with you guys? Calm Chris
Sssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh Look Benson, there's no point in getting wound up. If you do we will add to your misery, because you deserve it for taking the bait, big time. Anyway anyone who is silly enough to believe that across all speeds and all conditions, your CTR will beat my bog standard R32 is suffing the effects of too many drugs, too much booze or /and too much sun. On the road it's a not a no win situation, it's a never win situation for you my dear man. When I was a tad sillier (not that I'm much better) I had numerous (20+) fun times on good A. B and M roads with CTR's. Had a few keep up on the straights, but 90 and 135 and 180 bends, your fecked. Your also fecked on torque, power and 4 wd haldex. I'd agree than £ for £ your car is faster, but that's why the R32 was £6k more in cost. Most CTR owners freely admit to me that if they'd had the money, they would have an R32. So why would that be? Because it's a better car, better speed, safety, build, looks, engine, residuals- shall I go on? Have a nice weekend and try mellowing out, grumpy git! Thorburn
[ QUOTE ] Listen up buddy,,, I am sticking to my forum! I wish others would do the same. [/ QUOTE ] Well, if we did that then you'd pretty much be talking to yourself bar the occasional new member popping in to ask a question. Don't mean anything funny about this but there isn't a large Type-R contingent on these forums. As a side note I saw a red Accord Type-R while I was out yesterday, looked very nice
