AlanN
I of course was referring to the "quality" issue. You're probably on first name, mobile number, wife's favourite-perfume terms with your TVR dealer due to the fact you see them so often Only kiddin' "Hurtle" past my 911 any day by the way

cerbera
If my memory serves me correctly the X-50 package is a Porsche upgraded 996 TT Engine (a turbo only option)....!? Sounds like a VERY nice bit of kit Alan!!!! Bison - sounds like you'd have your work cut out 'hurtling' past..... Bloody good fun trying though..... Bison1379134007
ahahah yeah think you might be right! ahh well... but its interesting to look at the times the feckers do: <table width="100%"> <tr> <td>Car</td> <td>year</td> <td>BHP</td> <td>0-30 mph</td> <td>0-60 mph</td> <td>0-100 mph</td> <td>1/4 mile seconds</td> <td>1/4 mile mph</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Porsche 911 turbo</td> <td>2000</td> <td>414</td> <td>1.4</td> <td>3.9</td> <td>9.4</td> <td>12.3</td> <td>115</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Tvr Tuscan Speed Six</td> <td>2000</td> <td>360</td> <td>2.0</td> <td>4.2</td> <td>9.5</td> <td>12.8</td> <td>116</td> </tr> </table> and i don't think the 360bhp is the red rose one! not much in it at all... AlanN
Hehehe before we go any further boys let me say I am pullin' yer leg(s)..all in good fun Firstly the TVR "quality" issue cannot be hidden from, matey may have had a few problems with his turbo but I think you'll find that's a pretty rare thing indeed. Min has been faultless so far (had it since January 2003). This said I love TVR's and the whole "thing" than goes with them , magnificent beasts and I've driven loads of 'em. The X50 package is a factory performance kit, it basically upgrades the engine to the spec of the GT2 by fitting the same turbos, intercoolers, exhaust system etc etc oh and ECU, and raises the output to an "official" 450-460bhp. I'm having mine dynod here: http://www.g-force-motorsport.co.uk/ in a couple of weeks and then possibly having the 550bhp upgrade, not sure as yet but I'll post the charts here. Also interesting, in a recent top-speed shootout at Bruntingthorpe one of the PH guys in his TTX50 won (for the second time), beating 360's 550's TVR's and a RUF tuned 993TT etc etc. They're a bit rapid...but we all know there's always something quicker now don't we

Blue
[ QUOTE ] nothing better than a 911 owners face drop as you hurtle past them..... [/ QUOTE ] and then the 911 waves as he slides along at the next corner....or might even stop to help you a hand when you've broken down 2miles further down the road.... my 2 cents worth... if you need a thrill and want a reliable car that will hold it's money and will go fast in all circumstances...go 993 preferable the 4S since there weren't as many made as the C2 if you need the biggest thrill and just have fun and are prepared to go the extra length for it by missing the reliability and live in the UK (therefore have more opportunities to have your TVR fixed) then my god: GO FOR THE TVR
