Wallachie
[ QUOTE ] looks pig ugly if those`pictures are anything to go by. [/ QUOTE ] I think it looks great. Personal preference though, I hate the new 3 series - looks like a Toyota Corolla saloon!
cerbera
[ QUOTE ] looks pig ugly if those`pictures are anything to go by. [/ QUOTE ] I think it might be like the Porsche Cayman and look better in the flesh......if it's anything like it's predecessor then I'm sure it'll be a cracking car! magrillz
I bought a magazine last night with this on the front cover. It has some good pictures inside from all different angles and in my opinion it looks great. Much, much better than the picture above. I was sure it was autocar but it’s not on the web site. Maybe they have not updated it yet. They mention it will be 3.0l, 260 odd BHP and hit 60 in 5.7 secs. I'm sure they said it was at the Frankfurt motor show as a concept but BMW have said it will go into production. As I said I personally really like the look of it but I suppose everyone is different

Woppum
Did i hear they are going to put the current V6 engine from the M3 in to it?
Thorburn
They'd struggle, the M3 has a straight-6 I've heard it'll be the 265bhp 3.0 as in the new 330 and the 130. Personally think it looks very nice too
cerbera
If they made a proper 'M' variant then I'd definitely have a serious look at one further down the line. Can't wait to see this car in the flesh as that will be the acid test......
Gareth
[ QUOTE ] Did i hear they are going to put the current V6 engine from the M3 in to it? [/ QUOTE ] Correct. And yes it will fit in there
Omi
With only one notable exception, all the 'M' Cars since the M635i have had specific 'S' designation engines. They won't use a standard 330 lump. I was a big fan of the Z3 M-Coupe, which was basically an M3 Evo in a smaller, lower, lighter shell. - If they're going the same way with this then it would be nice to see the current M3 powerplant, but I'm quite sure I heard tell of a Z4 M-Coupe using the new V8 lump from the E90 M3? Should that be the case I will spank my monkey with glee.
Thorburn
Evo reckon the current 3.2 straight-6 for an M version, 3.0 for the non-M.
TP27
Today's Autocar (p 16) makes interesting reading. The Z4 M Coupe looks good, I like it. 338 bhp and 269 ft lb. On sale from July 2006, the 3.0 Coupe will be £31,000 and the M Coupe will be £38,000.

Thorburn
[ QUOTE ] They not putting the 300bhp bi-turbo 3.0 from the 130i sport in it? [/ QUOTE ] The 130 and 330 have the same lightweight 3.0 engine as found in the Z4 Coupe (and being introduced into the facelifted Z4). The turbo version will be in the
