RedRobin
None of us much like some of the new R32's styling features so here's a chance to mod by having fun on DubModder And here's my first effort to mod a R32 how I would prefer to see it: I would prefer if the VW grill badge was still chrome but that's not an option on the site. I forgot to do the R32 side valances, so:

Oatz
Just had a go with this v. cool! Was playing with the MKIV and it gave the option of having a TT "stubby" arial and it got me wondering whether these would actually fit the MKIV? any guesses? TP27
It's funny that on TSN, a car enthusiasts site, so many of the comments are against the looks of the new R and how it's far too expensive, the alloys are....., the exhaust is....the car is etc. Meanwhile, punters are clambering over each other to register their order and R's are being advertised at a premium. There is no unsold UK stock, the magazine editors and newspaper pundits love it and dealers are taking in deposits by the bucketload. VW must be rubbing their hands with glee....... I have to say that I've just decided, feck it, I'll have one BUT I accept, I may have missed something. After all, it's only a car and therefore, I'm just off to pay for mine which I take delivery of next week and I'll do my best to enjoy it...... Ho hum!! Dan32
OATZ - the answer is yes and no. Mate has TT with stubby aerial and the bottom flares out too much for the base of the MKIV aerial. It would fit the thread though, just with big overhang. TP27
Just back, saw my new R32 coming off the transporter. I'll get the pics up later, it's covered in transport wax having come up from Sheerness earlier in the week. All papers signed, personal plate organised for assignation to the car and 'cos I'm down south the early part of next week, I'm collecting it next Saturday morning at 9am!! Anyone up for a Scottish Meet on Saturday 3rd December!! Also, had another T/D in their Demo today, well an hour drive!! Big smiles all around!! Happy days!! TP. R32North
TP - I think you're right. There us going to be a big demand for the MKV R32, but maybe not from MKIV R32 owners but lots of new to .:R owners. I don't doubt it a great car, it'll shift, hold the road and cruise when needed, but MKIV owners had it good and will find it hard to spend the extra £10k to get only a smidge more than they have now. I guess I could live with the cost, but not with the grille or alloys. Both would need to be chnaged

ashleywater
TP could'nt agree more with your comments!! initially hated the front /shotgun tail pipes /fussy alloys, guess what? Every time I look at the thing, I like it more & more, even the alloys are growing on me,so reading some of the comments posted here have started to make me feel like Baldrick: people laugh at him, but would'nt entertain going anywhere near him!!!!I really did not like the new car at first, I love my mk4, but the mk5 has grown on me and I am picking up a shadow blue 3 dr DSG leather on the weekend,I might not enjoy handing the key's over for my mk4 to the stealer, or the fact that I hav'nt got enough shrapnel left in me piggy bank, to make it rattle after buying the frigging thing, but I have been down to look at the thing since I put the deposit down on it, and everytime I see it, it looks better and better,so there you go, hands up!!! I like the new car, a helluva lot. [image]http://[/image]
