Milo
Hmmmmm. Bit of a odd one this. I spent that long pouring over specs and price lists, Mrs Milo was getting sick of hearing about the whole thing When I went over to Audi last week with my cheque book in my pocket, her parting line was something like "I'm sick to death of you talking about bloody cars!". So when I came home having placed the order and paid the deposit, I didn't tell her as after all, in her own words, she was sick of hearing about cars. Well 8 days on and I still haven't told her It's getting a bit awkward now so I'm thinking I'll just keep quiet and hope that she doesn't notice If I get Quartz Grey, it's very similar to Atlas Grey therefore I could just tell her I've bought some new wheels Any advice? UBM
Hmmm...I've got a lot of experience with this situation! I would recommend you come clean about 1 week away from delivery - after all, she does not want to hear you going on about the delivery date. Most women think it only takes a few days to buy a new car anyway! I'm starting to get nagged by my Mrs - she has twice alluded now that my motor might be a bit expensive.....perhaps a B5 beckons! lottiefox
Milo!!! Won't she notice the 06 reg plate???? Or the new grille? You are extremely bad. Extremely.
UBM
Trust me - if my avant grew another two exhausts and another four cylinders, but remained black, she would not notice! Milo - I am quite surprised that a man of your calibre hasn't told her yet though! Maybe next time you're a bit pissed you could mention it in passing.... Milo
Well she huffed me a bit on the Saturday which is why I didn't mention it. I had every intention of telling her on the Sunday however I went out on the Saturday night and that was the night I fell out of bed drunk and split my head open She wasn't speaking to me all day Sunday so I didn't think that it was a good time to mention cars. Well it's been a busy week and I forgot about it but last night I remembered I still hadn't told her. Maybe I'll wait a bit longer......

Durrsaku
I can't believe what i am reading here Milo. I think you have to play it by ear and find the right moment to bury some more bad news when it is not going to be noticed as much. Labour and spin come to mind....Good luck. Ari
True story, chap I know likes to have the very latest of new models when they first come out. He wanted an X5 4'4i, but had to wait for it but they could get him a 3.0 straight away. So he took the 3.0 and ordered the 4.4i in the same colour scheme. When it arrived he p/xed the 3.0, had his personal plate switched over, and his wife was never any the wiser!

Milo
She knows I was thinking about ordering a car soon as mine is 3 years old in April but just doesn't know that I have in fact put pen to paper She should be happy as she was never very keen on a cab and I have spent the last 6 months gradually convincing her a cab was the way forward only to order another saloon. It's a good job we've got separate bank accounts
