doogal1972
Welcome! Personally I wouldn't touch any styling issues as the car looks cool standard, apart from maybe an alloy wheel upgrade. ECU wise, do a search on this forum and you will see loads of threads on this. AMD, REVO, MTM all do worthy remaps, it just depends on what performance you want. Good luck with your new purchase!

TheReverend
First off, welcome aboard. You'll love the car. Properly fast with a decent interior + when the roads get nasty & wet the car will come into its own. On the styling I can only say "Now whoa there Tex' thurr is some fancy shootin'!" Unless you want to be laughed at in the street or have kids in Nova's & Saxo's make weird hand signals at you just leave the design alone. It looks lovely as the good Lord intended. I'd spend a little time getting used to the car first. It'll be different to most cars I suspect. You might find it fast enough and tasty enough "out of the box". Once you decide to play with it & if you can handle the insurance hit - take it to AMD / Revo etc like everyone will tell you and let them liberate the engine. It makes the car come alive. Brakes are next if you have the car on 18"'s already then you can always go for the Haldex upgrade. Most people stay away from the temptation of playing with the exhaust and induction kits. For the moment - just enjoy the car! Sling a photo up when you get a chance.
TechnikS3
thank you mate. been modding cars for a few years now, was never going to do anything mad to it as i love the lines of the s3 as they are . i am just very taken by a bumper which i have seen on a few S3's, like the yellow one on the mtm website. it's subtle but at the same time a bit more aggressive. Dont worry chaps im not one of these max power wannabe's lmao. Im a car sprayer/repairer so i'll make it classy and i only want that bumper. Deffinetly going to look into Revo and MTM. Going to go for mtm 9 spoke alloys when i get her first cant wait to get her!!!!!!!!!!
TheReverend
Those wheels look lovely. I've seen them for sale at AMD. Quality items. Hope you drive carefully!
Paul
bumper may have been a http://www.caractere.com/ item. Not my thing tbh. MTM bi moto wheels look the business, but expensive. And only available in 19".
TechnikS3
thats not the one mate but thank you anyway the one i want is this one i know it's not the best of pics but it gives a rough idea yeah i love those wheels, will i have a problem with the S3 wearing 19's? TheReverend
Maybe it's me.. Like I say, I just like it the way the lord intended. That bumber's too much for me. I like to keep the car looking standard and fettle it so it GOES & STOPS nothing like standard. As long as you like it!
DHA
You might have arch rubbing problems on 19s but I haven't known anyone who had 19s on their S3. Some of the tuners should be able to tell you.
Paul
19" will fit, but im told that it can make it a bit of a bone breaker of a ride depending on suspension set up. Chelsea Mick has had 19" wheels along the way, and went back to 18", Simon Elman still has them (mtm bimotos) http://www.tyresmoke.net/gallery/albun72
Wallachie
I'm not a fan of Imola yellow, but that is one of the nicest S3's I've seen. The wheels and the red calipers look the business. I would love to see those wheels on a black S3.
Mollox
I do like the Bimotos...how much is a set of 18s? The problem for me is that I'm running standard (slightly corroded!) brakes and they'll just look daft on such an "open" wheel design
Wallachie
Apparently they're only available in 19" I know what you mean about the brakes, mine are the same and would just spoil having such a lovely set of wheels.
TechnikS3
mine will be black so we can see what it will look like then Yeah i have also heard they only do them in 19's, but the one on the imola yellow s3 dont look like 19's, i maybe wrong what do you guys think?
