kenny_boon
so where would the CAT be located on your system pic?
P_G
Kenny, Bub's is a cat back system (by the looks of things on the photo) so the cats are before his new system is bolted on.
Avus_Bub
Kenny, PG's right the cat' on the 1.8t is right at the front and bolts straight onto the turbo. The downpipe bolts to the cat'. Milltek sport 200cpi cat'...................... Cheers PG, the 100mm tails look great, as for the V8 - I'd love an S4 but couldn't really stretch to one. But I'd be on the right side of 300bhp if I bolt one of these on... Then I can do some S4 ankle biting. BUB

Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] Bub, did you say "bolt" on? I can see some uber-modding coming on [/ QUOTE ] I did and hell yeah!!! ATP have cast KKK flanges to Garrett units to bring us poor 1.8t owners S4 performance [ QUOTE ] The flexible range of reliable Garrett turbos available in direct bolt-on form via ATP cast housings. There is a turbo to suit even the most demanding of customers, ranging from the GT2X series which outspools and out flows the K04, to the popular and high power 350HP GT28RS. [/ QUOTE ] Here's the 'baby' 270bhp GT2X and ATP manifold .................... You'll be looking at around the 2k mark by the time you've had a re-map. Star have got 10 bhp on their dyno just by fitting an ATP exhaust manifold , that's good going for £299 Star Performance ATP Turbo BUB

Avus_Bub
Nice one Shark! You won't be disappointed! I realigned the rear silencers yesterday and painted the back of them matt black. It’s made such a difference, it makes the tails stand out much better and creates an illusion that they’re better lined up too (I don’t think they’ll ever be perfect). I’ll try to post some more pic’s but we’ve got hail here at the moment.............. After a week with the Milltek I can report more on the performance. It has increased low down torque, the car pulls much better than before sub 2.5k and is very smooth going onto boost too. As for sound, some might want more noise but I think it's perfect BUB

I had the same problem but took 2 mins to fix.

Daz
Mine are slightly out of alignment too and the installer spent 2 hours trying to get them right but as you say as you move one it can affect the other.

Chav
I think the bigger tips suit the S4 valance better than the s-line. Not sure what else would look better instead mind, but looks good anyway.
shark_90
I think it's a case of unbolting the bracket, lining up one side, and carefully tightening it up while somehow holding it exactly in place. Then once that's done start with the other one. I think it's very much a ramp job either way!

shark_90
Well. Next Tuesday, the 11th. Because I had a hospital appointment in Oxford and I was obviously going to tie the two up as it'll save me £50 in fuel and another day off work. But I've just opened a letter from the hospital cancelling my appointment! So I'm waiting for a call back from them, I'm not bloody impressed.
