S3ENVY
.......any of you this sad??? There's a little room in my parent house, (my old bedroom) that is used for storage/hobby-stuff. Just had a look through today...... I've got loads of model cars, that's about 1/10 of them supplemented by radio controlled helicopters, aeroplanes, film figurines!!! I've suddenly realised why I'm so skint... ...pictures please!

malagus
ive been collecting them since I was 12ish, so keeping them boxed stops the temptation to 'drive' them around the room - plus if they somhow get knocked off - its a 16 year old's bedroom, anything can happen - the cars are less likely to be damaged. plannig on keeping them - they act as a constant rminder 'stop daydreaming craig, do you homework and one day you might get to own one of these'
m4ttm4son
I've got a whole bunch of Ferrari's and a couple of "other"s. And there's still a list of wants... Will get some piccies when I go home. Also got about ten scalextric cars of varying quality and hundreds of little corgi toy cars from when I was a proper nipper. Apparently from the moment I could pick something up I always had a car in my hand!
S3ENVY
Lol, I remember that sort of incentive when I was 16 too! When I was routing around in the loft today, I managed to find a Matchbox Audi Quattro in rally livery and Castrol Escort RS2000 mkII. Boy, I'd didn't have a clue what they were when I was a kid despite my father owning and still in posession of an RS2000 which he bought from new, (The Professionals Stylee). kudos
Not to be a show-off or anything but I've got 120+ 1/18 models and 150+ 1/43 models. If you buy the right models you can double your money and more easily within a few months. Take this model for example, bought it for £40 and sold it recently on eBay for £205 yes £205. A couple of my favourites
lottiefox
JC talked me into buying a black TT DTM limited edition Minichamps model - no idea what it is worth but it is all boxed etc. I quite like it now!

Calm Chris
I've only got two toy cars Picture taken from net because I can't be bothered to use the camera and get the steam toys down from the top of the welsh dresser
chipandpin
I mentioned this thread to my Brother - he has a large collection of model cars that he is looking to sell - i have asked him to catalogue and photograph what he has and i will post it up in Marketplace once he has sorted it (may take a few days as he has just moved house)
Problem_Child
[ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] I've got one of those somewhere- it was never quite the same after my brother's Zebra Finch escaped its cage and decided to bed down in the box it was in... When I asked for it for Christmas (I was 10) I thought I'd be able to ride it- when I got it it was about 10 times smaller than I though it was! Andrew
I saw a big (1/5?) scale F40 at Goodwood last year and would love one for my study. However firstly I need a house with a study then I need to convince myself that parting with £350 is worth it! I have got a Bburago F40, Testarossa and GTO somewhere in my parents house. I think the boxes are there too.
Calm Chris
I've never started the Fire Engine up, I've got the fuel and trays, just didn't want to ruin the paint. Always missed out on steam toys, parents weren't keen to encourage the arsonist in me
