Johna1
Lets say you met a girl on one of them 6th form trips with other schools and you met and fell for her. And say you kept in toach via emails and msn and have got to know her well, then met recently at a doo and got on even better. You not only fancy her alot but have some sort of feelings for her too. Now the problems are that she has recently started seeing someone, who could deck you if he knew somone fancies her . Would you tell her and take the risk of destroying the friendship or just forget about her and be sad
Sponge
Tell her. Lifes too short. If she's interested, then great! If she isn't, then you can mourn the loss and move on. I once heard it's better to regret the things you've done than the things you haven't.
Soapsuds
tell her - she most probably has similar feelings. Life is too short, well said. PS - if you need a bouncer, just incase - PM me.....

drpellypo
Shakespeare once said, "Our doubts are traitors, as they oft make us lose the good we might have achieved, by failing to attempt." I always think about those words whenever I'm struggling with a decision. They've never failed me yet!
stevie_d
I was in a similar situation to you! I fancied this girl for years and we really hit it off, great friends and everyone said there could be something between us... Unfortunately I was too chicken (despite sooooo many, which now appear blatant, hints from her) to ask her out. Long story short, a week after I started seeing another girl she asked me out I had to say no. She went off and found a lad and they now live together and are likely to get married! Moral of the story: ask her mate, the WORST she can say is "sorry, lets be friends" and that'll be the end of it. The best she can do is, well, I'll let your dirty mind imagine that

NewNiceMrMe
On the other hand...she could say "No you know I'm seeing someone and why would I have started seeing him after meeting you if it was you I wanted to go out with?" and then get her boyfriend to kick the sh1t outta ya. Not that I want to put a dampener on things. You should ask her though. If you don't, you won't go out with her. If you do, you might.

saab
It's a bit hard to tell from your message - apologies if I'm wrong - please set me straight: Basically you have met this girl twice: once on a VI form trip and second at a party. You drove past her the other night - waved at her, but you didn't stop to talk to her. All your communication is on MSN and text message. To be honest mate this doesn't sound like a deep and long-standing friendship, so you should just go for it and accept the fact that if she doesn't feel the same way that your friendship with her could be over and you could get beaten up - however if she decides that she can't be friends with you after such a revelation and sends her boyfriend round to kick the sh*it out of you - is that really the type of person you want as a friend? As my friend Fat Mike say: "He who heistates, masturbates". If you don't ask her then you'll end up wishing you had.
shao_khan
You may as well ask - as said above if you dont you'll always wonder what she woudl have said and nothing worse than what might have been (At least I have tried in the past, I have restraining orders from Kylie, Keira and Carmen all to prove it). Also if you dont ask then we will never know either and then we will always be wondering.....
Johna1
Hi saab, i know her well to be honest. Spent two weeks away with her on that trip, met up with her few times in town and seen her at a few partys. And i speak to her for hours on msn then the odd text. So she is more than Acquaintance so to say. Ive decided im just going to tell her in the best possible way hopefully not casuing any trouble. I think the juice is worth the squeeze so to say
stevie_d
John> Unless her bf is a complete arse he's unlikely to hunt you down, assult you and then get himself in trouble with the law. Remember that most people are all bark and no bite (as such), so give your right hand a break and ask her out
NewNiceMrMe
Has she ever given any indication at all that she likes you as more of a friend? Has she ever mentioned the word 'friend' etc etc? The reason I say is that I reckon the modern woman is very good at dropping it in there - and it basically means 'feck off, no I will not shag you'. I hope I'm wrong and that you get her asked and report back on a life of heaven from hereon!
