MOSE
I've got several Megs wash mitts, and for some bizzare reason, the Mitt that has the non-abrasive bug remover on it has started to molt badly. No ideas why. Apart from Megs mitts, are ther any others that offer the same quality? I've had these now since about October 2004(ish). The Megs Ultimate Mitt I have is still going strong! lottiefox
MOSE, I've just had to order another wash mitt as my Megs lambswool one with the bug thingy is losing huge chunks all the time! Its unusable! Only had it since October. Maybe I'll try the Ultimate one next if this one does the same....
MOSE
Same is happening to mine Lottie, and as the car is black it keeps leaving loads of fine white hair all over the car. Plus looking at it today, its down to the abric, which isnt good.

MOSE
Not good. I washed the car twice today, just trying to get rid of the chunks of white stuff off the car. Its the finer strands that are a pain though. Also noticed that the strands are getting caught in the rubber seals. Who said mitts were hassle free washing?? lottiefox
I thought the TT had grown a rabbit's bobtail the other day but it was a large chunk of wash mitt stuck to her rear badge!!
danksy
The lambswool is probably rotting Make sure the mitt is rinsed out and dried off

mb
I have used the other Megs wash mitt for a couple of years now, and it has been fine, I do stick it in the washing machine after each use & dry it in the airing cupboard though, was wondering about the lambswool one for the future but think I will give it a miss now... Milo
I use 2; a Halfords own brand one for the wheels and a one off Clean and Shiny (not the Meguiars one) - both cost around £8-£9 and are great. They're used twice a week and put through the washer every 1-2 weeks and I have had no problems at all with them. I suppose mine are never dry so they don't have time to go mouldy
TP27
Had the enviable task of cleaning MrsTP's Polo today, absolutely filthy and covered with burnt on flies from many trips west, enroute to Oban. Suffice to say, I'd have been stuffed had it not been for the Megs Wash Mitt (microfibre). Absolutely brilliant, car is now back to it's former beauty and I'll have earned a few more brownie points. Blue Devil next in line for an all over Megs treatment. 1k miles on the clock now and running really well. TP.
bpsmith
The MF Wash Mitt is the best thing I ever bought for washing the car. It started off the whole MCD for me and never looked back! Absolutely love those new R32's. Give it a pukka going over including clay bar and post some pics! You will be surprised at what muck comes off a brand new paint job! slimtim
You can beet a quality Mitt, the Sonus wool ones are Eurow. However my weapon of choice now is a microfibre sponge. I'm a bit skinny and mtts keep trying to fall off my wrist. In my opinion they are the best of both worlds. All the protection of microfibre in a traditional sponge shape
M8CKN
Just got a Megs Lambswool mit of Ebay for £9.99 inc P&P Is this reasonable as Im sure they are £15 in the shops. Bit late now though if i've paid over the odds!!

However, after a 50 degree wash the wristband shrinks to a more suitable size (rest of mit stays fine)
