I'm flabbergasted.

I'm 21, 3 years NCB, £400 XS, the car would be kept on my drive limited to 8,000 miles per year, Fully Comp cover on a 1999 Audi S4 2.7 Bi-Turbo

Elepants wants £799 for 12 months cover insurance.

Thats only £50 more than they want to insure my Volvo S60 D5.

Is the S4 generally cheap to insure?

Not due for renewal till August, am currently with Direct Line, when i renewed last year they beat the 2nd best quote by £300. I always have a good look round before renewing.

My other half just swapped hers to Sheilas Wheels and saved over £150, perhaps we all ought to have sex change operations!!!!

£800?!!! for an S4?!

That sounds almost too cheap - I paid £680 for a 2.0 2002 A4 with 6000mile limit age 25 - 0 NCB (previous compnay car) and an SP30, and thats garaged in a low risk post code!

You should double check that quote, and if it is correct get yourself an S4!!!

Almost went there but Swiftcover don't do modified cars, which should really include your Milltek JC (according to them anyway).

They were the ones that referred me to Adrian Flux, so 32, 6 NCD protected, 54 plate on 12000 miles + class 1 business usage, no points or claims in last 5 years comes out at £798.
