Panman Posted June 4, 2006 Report Share Posted June 4, 2006 Generally the recommendation is Acetone (or nail polish remover)I'm not sure how it would go with your paint though Generally anything hydrocarbon based will get rid of superglue (So... Petrol, Thinners, you may even want to try bug and tar remover). Key point here... Don't rub any of this stuff into the paint, put the solvent (any of the above) on the glue, then try to pull it away as it "melts" other wise you have just created the worlds second hardest sandpaper..... Calm Chris Posted June 4, 2006 Report Share Posted June 4, 2006 If you have a nice coat of wax / polish on the area, I'd lay a rag over the area and pour hot water on to the rag. Easy job, just apply small quantities.....you could even try 'pealing' the glue off with a sharp chisel....but you will need hands like a surgeon.....
