DHA
Was watching tv last night and my lcd telly switched itself off. It only powers up to standby and when you try to turn it on the LED light flashes 5 times. Any ideas??
scooby_simon
RTFM, the 5 flashes might mean something....
DHA
Yeah I know, but nothing is listed in the manual. There is only a limited troubleshoot guide
DHA
Have just phoned the shop I bought it from (2 years ago) and they will give a full refund even though I have no receipt
Scotty
A guy at work had exactly this on his Pioneer Plasma. It was simply the power supply that had gone. An engineer came out and fitted a new one for him.
DHA
Yeah but I can upgrade to a HD version for free now

DHA
42" HD ready LCD for a lot less than I paid for the 32" 2 years ago
gizze
I would go with a 42" Panasonic plasma, different league than the LCDs, even the Sony LCDs which are the best at the moment don't compare to the image of a Panny plasma. Just read the amout of LCD fans reports on avforums now they have jumped ship.
Winton
43" Pioneer Plasma Dave, with a kickass HD cable. You know it makes sense

Chrisg
Sorry to hear that Dave. Have Sony LCD, 28" i think, not that great IMHO. So should i have gone for Plasma. May as well wait for a year of so when I'm sure they will be a bit cheaper and perhaps more HD choice?
DHA
Well there were some good 32" LCDs with HD for less than £1000 which is very good value I think
CarMad
I just got a new Samsung 32" R74 model and its fantastic. DVDs over HDMI are simply stunning, it even looks good with the freeview tuner thats built it. Highly Recommended from me.
