VTEC_Killer
Having owned the car for about 5 months - I recently noticed a very cool feature (I must have been blind before that ) If there is plenty of light coming onto the dash - the instrument on the dash lights up (just like when you turn your lights on) The more daylight; the brighter the dash! Has anyone else noticed this? - I personally think that is well cool! Sheraz
JamesTdiSport
I actually find it annoying as it has a bit of a lag in my car, so if you go down a road with lots of over passes the dash lights pulsate dark/bright :-)
VTEC_Killer
Well mine does react pretty well to light changes i.e. when I drive through a tunnel the dash goes dark instantly. Now that I have put privacy glass on; the dash seems more alive than before
adwhitworth
I noticed this on my RNS-E screen.
VTEC_Killer
Never actually looked at the RNS-E screen for light changes - I'll investigate on the way home from work
PetrolDave
The RNS-E monitors the same illumination commands on the CAN bus, so it's brightness (and colour scheme if you select Auto) change just the same as the instrument lighting does. Tizzy
RNS-E screen can also flicker slightly from light to dark in sudden sunlight etc. hopefully not a symptom of impending failure!
