Supposedly, he agreed to let the Citreon advert use the technologies he's filming with in order to see how successful it would be on screen. It's being built up to be something quite spectactular. Seen boot and bonnet conversions like that before on stuff like Civic's and the doors are an entension of 'Lamborghini style' and suicide conversions already popular among show cars. Don't know why they rotate to horizontal, probably a gimmick, again for show purposes. Check out the Transformers 'Alternators' range, I know Argos carries them. Subaru Impreza, New Mustang, Mazda RX8, Honda S2000, Jeep, and Optimus Prime is a Dodge Ram SRT-10. They're not related to the movie but give a good idea what to expect. Its pretty cool in concept (if you like thatsort of thing), but the execution is rubbish. If you see any of the high res pics, the panel fit and mechanics for the rear doors are very poor quality. I was expecting it to transform into something, what a crock of shite. It would have been more interesting to watch him just burn the money in a bin what he wasted on that thing.
