garcon magnifique
Is that the right as you look at us or as we (try not to) look at you? I'll be there twelve-ish. The car may be clean. Ish. Do we have a route for our gentle country cruise?

NewNiceMrMe
Well there is every chance I'll be turning up in a dirty car now. The forecast for today was a bright and sunny one - so I'm somewhat annoyed to have woken up to the dampest, most miserable, wet, rainy and cloudy day in a good while. The 6 is tucked up in the garage but it does need a wash after the country-side blast it had last weekend and I fear it might not happen by the looks of today. NewNiceMrMe
Oh, and I always think its handy to have a pictorial reference to where you're going, so when you're approaching it you recognise it from a distance before passing it when the SatNav says you've reached your destination but you can't see the place! So, here is the only picture there seems to be of the Rams Head!

NewNiceMrMe
Wow, it's still an hour and a quarter from Hartshead Moor? Bloody hell. Mind you, I think Jimdisel, A8_Tony and myself are having a coffee at the services so probably not setting off from there until about 11.00am I'd imagine, so we're probably due to arrive bang on 12 Noon. NewNiceMrMe
Oh, and another question. My SatNav has picked up Hartshead Moor WEST - I'm presuming thats correct?
garcon magnifique
I would imagine thta means westbound, so yes. It'll take you about half an hour from Harsthead Moor to your M60 exit and then another half hour to do the last few miles... trust me.
garcon magnifique
Oh, and looking at those directions - as you approach the pub itself from the north on the A6, it's on the RIGHT, next to Disley station, access via right turn at the lights. jimdiesel
Im off to wash my wifes car, as her need is greater than mine. After the lovely run round Helmsley yesterday, I think my car will have to remain 'travel stained'. See you tomorrow at Hartshead. Anyone else joining us at the services? Cagey
Would anybody mind the if a (very) occassional poster came along? I could do with a run out. Apologies for the late request. Subject to getting approval from my ex-girlfriend of course.

Its misty and damp here. the turtle is so filthy - I have stacks of work to do today, I have to have my tiara tested in my hair later and I don't think she is going to get washed. garcon magnifique
[ QUOTE ] Not sure it'll really take that long [/ QUOTE ] Well I'm sure you'll make short work of the motorways. Watch out for speed cameras on Broadway (A663 - straight after the A627(M), 40 limit) and the A6 through High Lane (30 limit). The last bit after the M60 is all 30/40 with no chance of passing and always busy.
garcon magnifique
Actually..... It looks further (because it is) but it is usually quicker to stay on the M62 a couple of junctions to the M60, cutting out the A627(M) and A663 (which has lots of traffic lights). (In yellow...)
