NunchukHamster
FarCry and Half-Life 2 on the PC. JetPac on the ZX Spectrum was great. Marathon Worms sessions on the PS1 when we rolled in from the pub/club etc. at 4am, and would still be playing at lunchtime, when I used to share a flat down in Toquay. gizze
ICO - Definitely the best game ever, too short, but while it lasted it was pure brilliance. Zelda - Link to the Past Mario 64 - Still not been bettered 10 years later Half Life - Only PC game I have ever bothered to complete I think. Secret Of Mana - The hours lost to that!! Pulstar - Worth buying a Neo Geo for alone. Pilot Wings (Snes) - So different to everything that had been before. Contra Spirits (Super famicom) - It might have been the freeze dried LSD but one night with this game has stayed with me for a long time!! Super Mario World 4 (Snes) - Platform Perfection. Singstar - No other game has got so many non gamers shouting 'Oi!! It's my go next!!'
robin09
I remember playing the original Resident Evil on the PC. I think thats probably the most atmospheric game ever, and the first truly scary one. Awesome. Pilot Wings! I'd forgotten all about that game. Dave
Agreed, i think tomb raider on the origional playstation was ground breaking. I also reckon a lot of PS2 were sold on the back of GT.
malagus
the prospect of gran turismo HD on PS3 is one of the main things keeping me away from the 360 and waiting for PS3
Thorburn
Personally I think the GT series has been surpassed and I have nothing but apathy for the Playstation 3. Sony's development and PR is like a modern day comedy of errors. I found even with GT4 on my PS2 I reached a point where I was just car collecting, there was little joy to be found in actually driving the cars and I spent most my time in B-spec mode... The only endurance race I did in A-spec was the oval race, and that felt like a chore. GTR2 I'll happily do a 3 hour race on my own in one sitting. malagus
I see what you mean - i too have started collecting more than gaming on GT, but I have spent huge amounts of time on GT over the years, and it stil does something for me that no other game does. I use GT more as a multiplayer tool, and a combination of rally game and circuit racer. I think it's become too much of a jack of all trades game, and although B-Spec is good, it adds another aspect that I use mostly for adding money to buy cars or completing long races i CBA with. GT is still, IMO a great simulator, and allows experience of very good tracks and cars, but is no longer unique.
robin09
GT was one of my favourite games on the PS1/2, but after playing games like Liveforspeed, it just seems so bland and arcadey. That said, I'll still get the new one on the PS3 I'd love to play GTR2, but my laptop cant handle it I dont think.

kaedo
Rainbow Six 3 and Black Arrow. I've wasted so many hours on that game in multiplayer. Having said that made some good friends in the process. Lockdown was such a let down though. Looking forward to the launch of Vegas.
