Wii or 360?

Shark, if you meant to be posting in here and mean get the PS3, well dunno if I'd agree with that.

The Wii's motion sensing controller should really set it apart, the PS3 and 360 may be willy waving over high-def, but at the end of the day its not about how good the game looks, its about how much fun it is to play.

Same story with the PSP, sold mine and got a DS Lite because it gives a unique gaming experience and is more fun.

Nintendo are being very smart with the modest hardware spec and a focus on good old fashioned fun games 169144-ok.gif

If your after quick, pick up and play games, the Wii is the console for you. If you after something a bit more long lasting, then the PS3/360 is your choice.

About 50% of the PS3's launch titles are available on 360, i think exclusives are going to be a lot more rare, so console choice isn't going to be as important as before.

Has the 360 got some games worth playing now??!!

Seriously, the 360 is my least used console of all time, only beaten by the original xbox. I still use my SNES more than the 360.

The Wii will offer something fresh or be a real let down, but the new Zelda and Mario games will be worth the price alone.

Its all down to your favourite genre of games. The 360 (and xbox before it) was a console of FPS, quite a few sports and driving titles, and very little else.

I like FPS and Driving games, so have had very few periods of inactivity on my 360.

The 2 games you list, suggest the 360 and PS3 will probably be of little interest to you for the time being.

I was talking bull to be honest mate, but it has made me think which is why I've revisited the thread. The massive thing that appeals to me is Xbox Live, and I've nearly bought one a time or two, but keep deciding against it.

I bought a PS2 and used it for about 3 weeks, and it's gathered dust since. As much as I like gaming, I don't think I'll buy any of them crazy.gif

I would do this too if there was any way of playing videos on the DS?

I never found that particularly appealing. Its great in theory but watching a film on UMD is a bit rubbish due to the tiny screen and the fact that the constant reading from the disc runs the battery flat very quickly indeed.

I think the PSP is vastly over-rated and over priced for what it is, and also the build quality on it is shocking to say the least.

Shocking quality?

I find that a strange comment. crazy.gif

It got nothing but praise for build quality, so not sure how you get to that result. I've had mine since it came out and it's not once let me down, and the build quality is the usual high-quality sony.

I don't watch movies on UMD - only a fool would. Simply copy any of your existing titles to a memory stick and you're laughing - doesn't kill the battery that way. I also find it a good size to listen/watch when on a journey for example.

As for the Wii or 360 - well it would have to be the 360. I simply do not like anything Nintendo produce. Not my cup of tea.
