Newbie123
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Can't wait to play it but I'm less than half way through COD3 at the moment [/ QUOTE ] How slow? I've completed it on Normal, and am half way through on Vet. [/ QUOTE ] I'm savouring every moment of COD3 Not that I'm or anything Although GOW might prove a challenge too far , Apparently it's recommended to play on the Hard setting from the off as the other setting is too easy and thus the game doesn't last long enough. So that's me on the easy setting then
Turrican
I think he means GOW.
Dave
[ QUOTE ] I believe pretty much the whole single player campaign can be played Co-op, so if anyone sees me online over the weekend (highly likely ) then maybe we can go for some messy co-op gaming! [/ QUOTE ] That sounds good.. so you are saying that two or more of you can play the game together and thus help each other through it.. sounds good! Newbie123
That's right, you can jump in and help the other player through the single player game.
Snail
Jesus wept, this game is as hard as nails!!! Not just to play, but literally, its more gory than anything i've played in ages, but the satisfaction of opening a chainsaw on a grunt is huge!! This is going to be fun! Snail
Oh, and so far, its looking like some of the best in game AI i've played. My team mates seem to be retards, but the enemy kick ass, they actually come and find you, rather than sitting in the same place, or moving in predetermined patterns. I can see that being great fun on the multiplayer
Snail
I think i played for about 2-3 hours last night, and im only about half way through the 1st mission. The game takes a bit of getting used to, but it does seem awesome. Only thing im having issues with, is the melee doesn't always work
RacingRed
Don't just tap the button for melee, you have to hold it a bit. Any of you girlies come across a Berzerker yet? You'll know it when you do.

Snail
I've played loads of this game this weekend. I have to say its a good single player game, but its much better as a CO-OP game. Very cleverly designed!
Snail
Wow!!! I've just finished this on hardcore, and it quite litterally was. Best game i've completed in a long time. If anyone needs a hand, im sure i can offer so co-op expertise for a small fee
Newbie123
I couldn't cope with the hardcore setting as I just wasn't getting anywhere . I spent too much time looking at the stunning visuals, it really is breathtaking at times I'm not sure I would have got past the berserker on the hardcore setting, that really is one of those great gaming moments Are you going to try it on insane now then Snail ? Dave
Bloody amazing game thought.. the attention to detail is stunning.. my only critism is that the chain saw isn't instant when you push the button and that can mean the difference between life and death... love the effect though! Dave
Thanks for the tip snail.. so are you saying, get outside first.. stand by the door? and get noticed? or do you lead him outside.. cause he moves bloody fast!

[/ QUOTE ] Spoiler .... You have to trick it into creating your exit. You do this by standing next to the false door and starting the chainsaw (or running about) and you then jump out of the way as it runs towards you, it will smash the door open for you , just walk through the opening it'll follow if you run or just walk through slowly and rev your chainsaw to attract its attention if he doesn't follow. Once you've worked your way outside (you have to do the false door thing a couple of times) the game saves and you can then use the hammer of dawn on it.
