Ian_C
[ QUOTE ] Only joking mate. I get your point. Just dont much like getting reminded every 5 minutes how much cash fell out my pocket that day.. [/ QUOTE ] So go and buy yourself something with the change that accumulates down the back of all your sofas for when the weather is REALLY shite this winter. 1.6 Focus, basic Golf mkiv, even an old E36. They are so cheap you can throw it away if you smash it on the ice. Ian

It was lucky no one got hurt and the damage was simply cosmetic. I learnt my lesson, and touch wood, wont be happening again.
Ian_C
Ahhhh, good man, you've wisely thrown the ill-fated cups away for a set of proper road tyres! Ian

Ian [/ QUOTE ] And through the summer too I think... You have to be going silly speeds to feel the difference anyway. In fact if you do want to test out the tail a bit, I think its better to have the PS2's. You dont have to push the cars limits nearly as far to have a bit of fun... Ian_C
Sensible. You had cups on previously, right? Ian
Woppum
The car came with cups. They were the only set of tyres the car had ever worn. I got it at 7k miles so you could imagine they were fairly worn. I wanted to get as much use out of them as possible though so I could see what the difference was when I changed to PS2's. Ian_C
Fine for tracks in the summer. Take it you kept them, or did the kerb finish them? Ian
Woppum
It wasn't a kerb, the car literally crept up a grass bank. However they were shot when I finished them. They are only supposed to last about 3k miles. As the last owner drove the car rarely/slowly he manged over double that, but they was still only about 1mm left. I don't think ill bother with them again. They enduced quite a bit of tramling and the ride was considerably harder... Your talking about £1200 for a set of tyres that wil only last a couple of months too!

RedRobin
Yes, I often get the urge to go out for a drive but during the day and when it's dry. I usually find an excuse to go and visit someone.

SamD
I often get into the car at 11 or 12 at night and take a nice relaxing drive into the City. I love to drive around London once it is quiet and there are not too many cars/people about. Late night drives are not about "fun" or speed to me, they are more about opening the windows and blowing away to cobwebs
